OOF okay so. I’m not as familiar with her earlier albums, but honestly pretty much ALL of the songs from rep and most of 1989 are really fuckin gay??? Like:

dancing with our hands tied — “i could’ve spent forever with your hands in my pockets / picture of your face in an invisible locket” & “i loved you in spite of / deep fears that the world would divide us” (dwoht is my personal Gayest Song, tbh. also my favorite song right now. i’m just so gay for that combination of love and fear!!! just… tragedy and angst and regret……)
don’t blame me — “baby for you i would fall from grace / just to touch your face” (fuck YEAH sign me up for those queer religious motifs baby)
gorgeous — “you should think about the consequence / of you touching my hand in the darkened room… / if you’ve got a girlfriend, i’m jealous of her / but if you’re single that’s honestly worse” those are probably the gayest lines but honestly there is not a single second of this song that even remotely gives off the slightest heterosexual vibe
so it goes — uhhhhh “wear you like a necklace” & the whole taking turns “honestly baby who’s counting” adlfkjadfls; i can’t believe she literally wrote a song about eating p*ssy… taylor please………
king of my heart — aside from the fact that it’s obviously about karlie kloss, “your love is a secret i’m hoping, dreaming, dying to keep” is a fundamentally gay experience
call it what you want — maybe less gay explicitly/thematically than some of the others, but is also even more obviously about karlie kloss in the greatest lyrical masterstroke of our time so we should jot that down
endgame — also not necessarily gay based on the text alone but “big reputation, big reputation, oh you and me would be a big conversation” also is def not about a boy
in 1989, obviously i know places is the ultimate closeted gay anthem (tbh i usually pair it with out of the woods, and maybe getaway car if we’re talkin like… gay fear/anxiety/hiding) but like… 1989 also has:
