Madison had been in the living room for a good hour, watching whatever looked good on Netflix. All ready for bed, in pajamas, hair up, everything. The girl wasnât expecting any company, only her roommate. Hearing the fast knocking on the door alarmed her, causing her to jump slightly in her spot. She got up from where she was sitting to go to the door, looking through the peephole of her front door. Confused, she opened the door to find her ex-boyfriend standing outside, not looking like his usual self. âDrew? What are you doing here? You could have, yâknow, texted me to give me a heads up you were stopping byâŠâ She trailed off, leaning against the door frame, looking up at him.
Drew's lips curled into a grin. His eyes traced her silhouette. He was certain she'd never looked more beautiful. Not even on him. This had always been her best look, when she completely natural and in her element. âWow...â Â The word simply toppled from his lips without his permission. To be fair, he didn't have much control over things in the moment. âI wanted to see you,â he said simply, as though it was the most obvious thing in the world. âI missed you, Mads.â He stepped forward, leaving plenty space between them-- but enough to get his point across.
