Gadgets or Textbooks?

Gadgets or Textbooks? These are both options that are commonly asked by many. We all know that both of these have advantages and disadvantages in any way. In fact, people tend to choose more on gadgets rather than textbooks. We all know that teenagers focus more on visualizing, not reading because we find texts as boring, yet images as fun. Textbooks are useful, especially for finding informations yet gadgets are useful too since gadgets can provide more things than what textbooks can only give. But, the thing about gadgets here is that people tend to abuse the usage of gadgets. People tend to use gadgets for entertainment that seem unuseful for a student and a teenager. I’m not saying that it’s bad to use gadgets, but we really need to have a fair use between gadgets and textbooks. So to sum it all up, we may not find textbooks interesting as a teenager who admires visuals and graphics, but at least we should use our gadgets efficiently in a good way because gadgets might lead us to addiction which may cause a new chain social issues. We should also learn how to value textbooks because our parents graduated before google was invented, and textbooks are a big help especially when there is no internet connection, and if you need deeper informations that cannot be found on the internet.

Depression: Academic Stress in Students

Stress is a common occurrence in our lives. This stress, however, becomes multiplied in certain points of our life. One such scenario is the teenage life of a student. There are also cases wherein one cannot handle this stress, resulting in a breakdown, and eventually depression.

As a student and a teenager, I have been through many, many occasions of severe stress. Having to face the natural problems that comes with teenage life, one has to deal with the workload that comes with education. By itself, teenage stress is seldom serious, as most of it stems from intangible things such as feelings. However, with academic stress being added into the equation. Things become hectic and increasingly problematic. Most teens are able to cope and handle this stress. But there will always be some that are unable to handle it, and breakdown.

There are people who undermine the statements of those who say that academic stress is an alarming problem. This, however, is not true, as stress in itself is a stepping stone towards depression. Hence, academic stress is a contributory factor to depression, and we should all be the light for those who need our help.

GLOBAL WARMING

Global warming can make our world hotter and can affect our daily living. Because it can poison our water and can destroy the habitats of animals which can lead to extinction.It widely affects our ocean because of rising sea level and warming of the ocean surface which lead to increase in temperature.We don’t see this as a treat so we suffer more because we are the number one contributor to pollution which creates green house gas and can add up to global warming.

Global warming commonly refers to human cause because we do things that can add up to global warming.without knowing that we are the one affected to the things that we have done.We don’t realize that we are not the only one affected but also the animals.we tend to do things that can destroy our nature and world.Because we are to caught up in our own doings.with out realizing that were destroying the one that can helps us lessen the effect of global warming which is the Trees.

We destroy nature which means we betray our selves because we are not apart from nature we are part of nature.we live in the world were destroying trees can make money.we add up more heat as we cut down trees because we create pollution and poison other habitats that can lead into extinction.Because most of us today don’t even care about tomorrow .

How To Deal with Grief Over Losing a Pregnancy

Although it is not widely known, about one in four confirmed pregnancies end in miscarriage. Pregnancy loss is a difficult but necessary topic to discuss. If you, or someone you know, experienced pregnancy loss, you know it is one of the hardest things that can happen. It is normal to feel shock, grief, depression, guilt, anger, and a sense of failure and vulnerability when you lose a pregnancy.

The days following your pregnancy loss are incredibly painful and sad. It does not matter whether this is the first, second, or tenth pregnancy. It is always difficult.

Many women who went through a recent pregnancy loss find it extremely difficult to communicate it to family and friends. Often it is a feeling of guilt, of failure, that paralyzes and increases the fear.

While I do not intend to tell you what to do, and every person is different, I have a few suggestions that have helped other women and family members:

Some mothers who lose their pregnancy are able to move through this loss freely, while others feel deep despair at this loss. There are no “shoulds” in this. There is no right way to feel. If you feel strong and grounded and ready to move forward after a miscarriage that is totally valid. If you feel deep loss and grief then that, too, is appropriate. No one can tell you how you should feel, except you.

What happened is not your fault! It can happen to anybody. Most likely it was not the food you ate, the medication you took, or whatever you did. Most pregnancy losses have no known cause and even the world’s top medical experts would not be able to tell you why it happened.

You need time to heal. Grieving is normal and you have the right to be sad. Even if it feels like your sadness will never heal, it will. Many women who lose their babies become suddenly afraid of losing everything else, be it their sanity, other relationships important to them, their faith in the world, or any hope for the future. Many, many women who go through this loss feel a deep need to grab onto other things in their life for fear of losing those, too. If this is happening to you, let those close to you know.

Some moms find it useful to keep a journal. Writing down your thoughts and feelings might be an effective outlet for your pain. You might also write letters, notes or poems to the baby or about the baby.

Take time off from work, even if you feel physically fine. Taking a break from your regular routine will help you emotionally.
