April 1, 2026 - Tapajos Antpitta (Myrmothera subcanescens) These antpittas are found in rainforests and swampy areas in central Brazil. The details of their diet are not known, but closely related species forage on the forest floor and low branches for arthropods. Their breeding behavior has not been studied, though related species build shallow cup-shaped nests on the ground from sticks, dead leaves, and other plant materials and both parents probably incubate the eggs and feed the chicks.

This one’s probably by Richard Bober, since he did a long-uncredited cover to A Wrinkle in Time in a similar style. I actually mentioned this cover to the same radio host who interviewed me about the Bober cover, and she passed the question on to his family - they agreed it looked like his style, but they didn’t have any records that could confirm it was him.
