my understanding of RGU so far (as someone who hasn’t watched an anime since pokemon in 1997)

this is utena. i know it’s utena because her name is in the title. she has PINK HAIR and a SWORD and a GIRLFRIEND and as you can tell she’s 10000% what rainbow quartz would look like if there weren’t like, copyright laws and stuff. did i mention she has a girlfriend. she goes to the only school in the world where being an out butch makes you popular. i don’t know how she attends school while taking a million years to walk up the stairs to their swordfighting arena every day (where is their principal) but i’m learning it’s best not to question this. i grew up playing final fantasy VIII aka the emo boy version of this show so i shouldn’t question lethal extra-curricular activities.
