Dracula Magazine #8 , New English Library 1971.

I love this style of art. It was EVERYWHERE when I was a kid, so it tickles and activates the nostalgia centers with a ferocious intensity usually reserved for music.

Does anyone know what this style is called, who the primary drivers of it were, and where I can learn more about it?

Hello. I’m a European, and i’ve never heard anyone in Europe say racism is dead! What we do say, and what Tumblr fails to grasp, is that racism often takes different and more complex forms here than in the US

And yes they have police protection. That’s because they have a right to march, but also because when they do, a lot of people turn out to protest against them. The police aren’t just there to protect the neo nazis, they’re there to prevent violence by them against the anti nazi protesters too. I’ve been very grateful for their presence on many occasions when right wing marches have turned violent.

We just received our swatches of the Silent Moon Kingdom fabric from Spoonflower, so the material is now live! There are currently five colourways available! Others may be made available in future.

We tested the print on several materials, and recommend the Silky Faille, Cotton Sateen, or Silk Crepe de Chine (as an overlay) for the best colour saturation and print crispness. We also tested Cotton Poplin and Poly Satin.

The Poly Satin has great saturation and crispness, but is super, super shiny and a bit stiff. The Cotton Poplin isn’t terrible, but is a bit on the stiff and sheer side.

The black prints fairly close to a “true” black on the SIlky Faille, but we have not yet tested the wash-and-wear durability of the material, as we’re about to leave for the US and won’t have time before we return.

Photos above show the Ivory print on Silk Crepe de Chine, Black print on Silky Faille, White on Poly Satin, Pink on Cotton Poplin, and Navy on Cotton Sateen (the last two are refusing to photograph well by themselves, due to poor lighting, but are included in the “group” shot).

We keep saying “we’ll have news soon!” but this time, we really, really mean it. To prove it, here’s a teaser of what’s to come!

The Mirafra Corset skirt is in the final prototyping stages with our new factory.

The skirt and matching accessories will be shown in full when pre-orders are ready to open.

They will be available in limited quantities in a gorgeously iridescent shade of Amaranth purple. Final sizing and photos will be announced prior to pre-order.

Black doesn’t print well on Spoonflower fabric, sadly. They’ve improved it, but it’s still not solid black. :( I’m thinking navy and white, wine red and pink, and maybe dark gold/yellow on ivory? I can kind of do unlimited versions, but I only want to order a handful of swatches for the test I’m doing.
