Whoopee~

I finally finished this, and it’s now set between my two squidgy canvases in my room to add a little splash of colour there. Some of them are shiny. It’s roughly 30 x 40 cm, a smidge smaller than A3 in size, and was made with some (pretty old) copic ciaos and acrylic inks on bristol board.

I was given some less than great paper that my ink bleeds into a lot, but I sort of like the spidery lines it created and the challenge was welcome. A good excuse to test the new watercolours I bought...and since I’ve never really used them...I think it turned out alright. c:

Inktober 2018, Day 1: Poisonous Farthose

I’ve been sort of deliberating whether or not to do inktober this year, mostly due to my not having enough time, or not enough energy. Pick one, both are accurate. So I might just do select ones throughout the month rather than every single day. I don’t know...I haven’t been painting lately and it’s a struggle to get back to it. We’ll just play it by ear I guess. Anyway I hope you all enjoy them regardless c:

Mermay Day 2: Hippocampus Monstrous mermay challenge. Using a kuretake fountain brush pen, and it acts a lot more like a brush than a pen. Fun thing to play with that only cost about 5 euros, so if you have the spare change I’d recommend giving it a whirl.

You could say I’m restarting with the monstrous mermay prompts so which one is this, one, two? EH. Since my tablet is being troublesome I’m starting to actually use my sketchbook. It’s pretty liberating to just take a pen to it and do it.

Also this kuretake brush pen I bought was worth the wait. I’ll do scans later, when I have a bunch.

Mermay Day 1: Snooty This was meant to be fun but my tablet ruined it by giving me all kinds of problems. I don’t think I’ll be getting another Wacom, since this one has been quite frankly, a nightmare, and considering the price of the thing, you’d expect it to be..well...good. I’ve ordered a Huion to replace it for the time being so I guess until that turns up, I’ll be working traditionally. If you’re going to buy a Wacom, do a bunch of research on the product first, then you should probably turn around and look elsewhere.
