Finding Emily was SOOOOO good romcoms are so back thank you Angourie and Spike you absolute LEGENDS
Some thoughts below (spoilers!)
- Spike Fearn is just SO hilarious, his comedic timing is a highlight ("you only spent 70 bucks" "actually it was 125, one guy took card" had me ROLLING), AND he's so good at playing a yearner he's a loverboy to the MAX in this one
- Angourie I want to kiss you on the head, she played being stressed out and freaking out ab your choices FANTASTICALLY, and her gradually falling for him..... my god
- their chemistry was fucking NUTS I am frothing at the mouth
- Owen and his brother's bond was so heartwarming tbh. They had the classic brotherly rivalry and bickering but at the end of the day they LOVE each other so much
- PHIL WANG??????
- the Oasis signage got a genuine laugh out of me I won't lie
- THE KISS OH LORDDDD THE KISS THE WAY THEY KEPT GOING IN FOR MORE THE WAY THEY HELD EACH OTHER I'M GNAWING AT THE WALLS
- Owen is a little crazy but Emily was crazier for encouraging that shit and honestly I ate it tf up
- THE BAR SCENE WHEN HE ABABDONS THE GUITAR FOR HER UGHHHHHHHHHHHH IT FELT LIKE I'D DONE A LINE
- Spike Fearn can SING, he is the long lost Oasis son it's #confirmed
- Amily (Amelie??? Idk how it would be spelled) being a not quite right fit for Owen and not being shamed for it. "Because Amelie is a fucking person" YOU SAID IT CREDITS!!!! They had that instant connection sure but there was ultimately nothing of substance and the whole fame thing associated with Owen just wasn't for her, AND THAT'S OK!!!! I'm so happy they didn't villify her for that 😭😭
