Ephesus ~ the ruins (a single column) of the great Temple of Artemis of the Ephesians stands in a marsh outside the confines of the archaeological site of Ephesus.  Atop a hill in modern Selcuk is the Basilica of Saint John where the apostle was said to be buried. (April 2016)
