                              So much time and attention was devoted to finding out as much they could about the new Initiative. Even now, as everyone else had gone home to get some rest and take a break, Angel had his nose in a book while he waited for his breakfast to heat up. He wasn’t too engrossed with the text ( words were beginning to muddle together making it hard to read a sentence ) though to not hear Jewel’s voice. His head turned and smiled, shoulders shrugging with a gentle chuckle, “Been told once or twice before.”

               She stood and stared for just a moment to take him all in, a chance to admire his physical appearance and also to appreciate the effort he was putting into all of this. Not that anyone else in this makeshift motley crew of a disaster unit was slacking off or anything, but she firmly believed that if everyone were to continue pulling their weight, there was no reason that they should be able to let loose and not think of it occasionally. “Ooooh, say that again.” She teased, placing cup down and deciding to approach and picking up her own tome. “I don’t know how anyone’s going to expect me to get anything done.”

               With coffee in hand, Jewel simply watched Angel at the kitchen island, sorting through the giant piles of magical supplies they’d both hauled in. “I really know that its a big stressful time, but...” Sentence was broken for her take a sip of her drink. “You ever been told you’re one hell of a handsome distraction?”
