I’ll be travelling to Miskatonic University on Friday.
Padre Matias Rossi, well known for his work on pre-Christian cults and early worship practices, will be presenting his latest research.
Should be a nice, straightforward interpreting job.

It’s really nice to be back at the Vatican.
I get to work closely with the security department and the Swiss Guard. Specifically, I’ll be coordinating directly with Captain Meier.
It’s so nice to be taken seriously for once.
I'm doing extremely well, thank you for asking. I am so happy. I couldn't be better.
I'm so busy, I have no time to think about... other things.
Rabat became much more complicated and dangerous than expected.
I have returned to New York...

Some people are pricks.
Giuseppe Verdi captures human emotion more honestly than William Shakespeare. That's the hill I will die on.
I was tackled today.
My knee, chin, and general dignity have all suffered accordingly.

Day 2, Rabat.
Field research has officially begun. It's quite exciting. We’ve examined a recently discovered sacrificial bowl and parchment scroll.
However...
The inscriptions aren't in Arabic. They're in an unusually old form of Aramaic. (This we already knew, which in itself is already extraordinary, but...)
The Aramaic is so old that I'm not fully qualified to work on this.
I wonder if Fitz knew this when he sent me here....
Day 1, Rabat:
The weather is, unsurprisingly, fantastic.
Work will begin tomorrow.
Tonight, we are exploring the bazaars and hopefully eat some tagines and local food.
The only positive point of Tuesday is that once this day has passed, you are only three days from the weekend.......
I'm really looking forward to my last field research trip to Rabat with my colleague, Pierre Leblanc.
I'm extremly grateful for the university's trust in me.
I might've also been the cheaper option for the department's budget.
A substantial Maya site concealed within the forests of southern Quintana Roo has recently come to light after local residents alerted the N
How exciting! There are still places capable of surprising us.
Long phone calls are dangerous.
You start by discussing entirely practical matters and somehow end up talking about childhood, family,... and if you'd survive raising children.
Apparently “strength training” now includes being mocked for my push-up count.
Ten is very respectable, thank you very much!
Dublin scholars find 1,200-year-old manuscript of Caedmon’s Hymn composed by Northumbrian cattle herder
How exciting!
I’m genuinely happy to see Irish and Italian scholars working together on something like this.
From experience I can tell how much of a miracle it is to find something hidden for over a thousand years.
It's also reassuring to know that, occasionally, Irish persistence and Italian curiosity can work together rather well...
I just discovered that this bracelet has been donated to the Metropolitan Museum of Art by an... anonymous donor. Possibly Solomon's long lost treasure.
I wonder how many of its secrets it keeps hidden, never to be uncovered.
Oh well, probably for the best.
Some things belong behind glass to be admired rather than in someone’s drawer.
