One phrase appears again and again in John 17: “That thou didst send me.” Jesus places enormous emphasis on this. Believing that He was sent by the Father is not a minor detail, it sits at the centre of the Gospel itself. To believe in Christ is not merely to admire His teachings or acknowledge His existence, but to recognise who sent Him, why He came, and what that reveals about God.
