It’s been a year since I graduated university.

A lot of people of my facebook feed have been making posts about their own graduation with the usual malarkey about how it’s been a #struggle but they pulled through and got the grade they really wanted and they can’t wait for the next chapter in their life... yadda yadda yadda

I decided to make a post here in a - somewhat - similar fashion. 

It’s been a year since I graduated university with an unjustified and unfair grade. Since then, one of my best friends stopped speaking to me without an explanation. I moved back home to be surrounded by family members who only wanted to know when I was getting a job. I spent the rest of the year being psychologically tormented by someone who I thought was my friend. I flitted in and out of depression. As the year progressed, I began to feel more and more like a disappointment and an embarrassment to my family.

Last week I had a mental breakdown. 

It’s not been a #struggle, it’s been a waking nightmare every single day. 

I don’t how or when I’m going to break out of this hell but I’m trying. I don’t have medication to help me, I don’t talk about my feelings because I’m too scared of being vulnerable and I still haven’t got a full time job.

But...

since it has been a year, that means this is like New Years Eve/Day. It’s time for me to start afresh and try to turn my life around. I don’t know where I’ll be this time next year but I hope, at the very least, that I’ll be happy.
