This is the skin removed from the lower abdomen during an abdominoplasty, or tummy tuck. Patients often ask what’s being “tucked” during this operation, and in fact, nothing is being tucked. Instead, skin and fat are removed. Small things that make a big difference. Intraoperative photos of a mini-abdominoplasty with removal of skin and tightening of the layer over the muscle, all below the level of the belly button. The scar is a bit longer than that of a C-section but is concealed in the same location.
