❝ I know I am, I’m a great one. ❞
AKIHIKO PUFFED out his chest a little before laughing and looking up at the sky, hands moving to ruffle his hair from it’s slicked position – back to the messy one he usually had when he wasn’t sparring or in a battle. The sound in his throat rumbled down back into silence, sighing out quietly.
❝ I’m just trying to make the best of what I have left of my life – I don’t know if it’ll last beyond this war – not to sound so downtrodden and sad. It’s just reality talking at moments. ❞
“ Sometimes, you survive. Other times, you wish you hadn’t. “
He felt both of that on some days--he hated having to stare at the empty halls where his fallen comrades had used to be. He felt like he had failed them at times and that was the worst feeling to him. That dark heaviness that clouded over him.
A sigh would part his lips as he settled himself down onto the floor, back slowly leaning against the wall behind him. He tucked one leg up, draping his arm over his knee.
