The shift from "how dare taylor swift sing about these respectable men" to "why on earth were these thirty somethings going out with a teenage girl" is incredibly gratifying to me personally

if i was jake gyllenhaal i’d post a selfie wearing that scarf and turn off my phone
taylor became the indie record that’s much cooler than hers. girl got range.
folklore track list as butterflies (based on species names)
i think this album is for the ones who actually appreciate state of grace acoustic and treacherous demo recording
and i think i was right
if this album doesn’t cement taylor as one of the greatest songwriters of all time then i give up
i will support taylor no matter what direction she takes her music, any day any night, but god this style just feels like it was truly made for her lyricism and her vocals. something about it all is just melting me so sweet and i could just swim in this warm ocean of beautiful short stories all day
the devil is in the details.
BETTY IS THE SEQUAL TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE DOOR TELL ME IT ISNT
I love how Taylor wrote a song about the story of her RI house.
“Rebekah West Harkness (April 17, 1915 – June 17, 1982) also known as Betty Harkness, was an American composer, sculptor, dance patron, and philanthropist who founded the Harkness Ballet. Her marriage to William Hale "Bill" Harkness, an attorney and heir to the Standard Oil fortune of William L. Harkness, made her one of the wealthiest women in America.”
ok but don’t tell me mad woman isn’t about kim and kanye...
it’s obvious that wanting me dead has really brought you two together
im taking my time because you took everything from me
you made her like that
taylor going from country to pop to folk throughout her career:
how does she make ‘idiotic fool’ sound so pretty??????
this is me trying...mine...i’m sobbing...and so are you. i just wanted you to know this is me trying. the phrase just HURTS
seven’s bridge.....can’t wait to chant that in a stadium.
should we talk about how this is hardcore red’s sister once she grew up and could reflect and remove herself from past events but remember and still admit her own faults and know she would be okay without them.
