Such interesting choice of words here.

So in the Five Kage Summit Arc, when Obito comes to talk to Naruto, Kakashi stands behind him with Chidori ready and asks him what his goal is. The way this is framed and Obito shutting the convo down immediately after shows me he was being truthful here.

And he honestly answers saying "To be complete".

I got the Japanese version to see the exact wording. He could have had this meaning without that last kanji in it (it means "body" btw) but this is the kanji chosen.

So imagine, you are standing there with your other eye in the face of the guy behind you, you call him "Sharingan Kakashi" when you arrive at the scene and turn around to say you wish to be complete (with a physical implication) and you still don't ever take that eye back.
