Obito literally takes off his hood to show Minato more of his silhouette, his hair, when he’s questioned about his identity. I kinda wonder if Obito was expecting to be recognised, maybe hoping deep down that Minato would reach out to him before it was too late. Especially since he later tells Minato, “You were my teacher, and yet you didn’t realise it was me. That’s just the sort of person you are, fundamentally.”

there is something about how so many victims of abuse/grooming/brainwashing etc in naruto are gnc or queer(coded) children but unfortunately im pretty sure kishimoto just uses "queer" as visual symbolism of "evil or scary"
