NEED👏THAT👏MAN👏PREGNANT *SEASON TWO* ROUND 3 POLL 11
TUMBLR! Who's getting pregnant?
Benjamin Franklin “Hawkeye” Pierce (MAS*H)
Soundwave (Transformers)
PROPAGANDA:
[Hawkeye]
"Literally begs men to impregnate him. He will not get married until someone gets him pregnant. Also he deserves a second chance."
"OK so aside from the fact that he canonically asks for it sooooo many times. HE. IS. SO. BREEDABLE. HE WOULD LOOK SO GOOD PREGNANT. OK. He needs it, I need it, we need it. ALSO, he got so close last year and I think he deserves a win."
"The show uses children and family as a symbol of stability, both directly and as an explicit absence (the orphans they take care of, Peg and Erin back home, etc). That stability is something that Hawkeye desperately needs and wants. Plus, he constantly talks about being pregnant in a way that implies he's actually thought through it more than most cis guys would."
"He NEEDS it okay! Man canonically wants to be pregnant! I swear he makes at Least one "joke" about it a season, if not more! He wants it so bad I truly think being pregnant could fix him! He made it so close last year and frankly it's a Travesty he didn't win in my opinion, so I'm hoping we can get the rest of tumblr to fully agree this time around!"
"He is a trailblazer in the field of men desperately wanting to be pregnant. He's begging for it. No man has wanted to be pregnant as much as Hawkeye has, and no man has begged for it openly on TV in the 70's as Hawkeye did. No one deserves to be pregnant more than him. Though there may be new contenders, we must honour our roots. The OG. Some of these contenders will have never made a comment about their bunkmate and best friend getting him pregnant, but Hawkeye has. More than once."
"He's the one asking for it, not me (constantly. he is constantly asking for it)."
"There are numerous moments throughout where he references being pregnant/impregnated, including: “you realize if my father sees this, you'll have to marry me,” “frankly, I think I'm pregnant,” “I could have had a third of a baby by now,” “sit down, your father and I will tell you what we did to have you,” and many more. He's begged a general to impregnate him. (“I know that you're a general and I'm just a captain, but I want to have your baby. I mean it, I want your baby! I'll kiss all your stars!”) One of the first things that he says in response to encountering a new character on the show, when asked if married, is “someone's gonna have to get me pregnant first.”
Children, especially to the characters in MASH, are the representation of life and innocence. Hawkeye, as a character, is defined by his love for life. He is a doctor with a vested interest in humanity, thrust into a war against his will, who does everything he can to preserve that life. Pregnancy is not only a joke to Hawkeye, or something said in passing as a quip or subversive statement, but a concept he treats with respect and dignity, and in the midst of such great injustice and cruelty to human life, carrying life into the world would help him fight just that little more against the war. In the words of BJ Hunnicutt, “All we see around here is death and destruction. Now, in the middle of an inferno that even Dante wouldn't buy tickets to, there's a little glimmer of life, thanks to you. That's not wonderful; that's a miracle.”"
"Just look at him."
"dude is BEGGING for it."
"It's what he would want."
"pregnancy is the opposite of war to him. It’s his escape that eliminates his usual coping mechanism of alcohol, his fantasy being so detached from his trauma that he won’t need it anymore. Instead of narrowly saving lives or failing to save lives, he’s creating it."
Hawkeye propaganda from last season
[Soundwave]
"He's a single father of five, surely there is space for another one."
"Do you SEE those hips?
He’s already got kids, he needs more. Especially to make up for the one who died.
Do you SEE that waist?
Evil. But like, I can fix him.
His husband (Megatron) left him for the Autobots and he can get pregnant as revenge."
"He already has a lot of kids but deserves more after dealing with the rest of the Decepticons stupidity and carrying their entire faction on his back. Also, specifically for the TFE version of Soundwave: look me in the eye and tell me he doesn’t look like he needs to get pregnant. There’d probably be a dozen different characters that’d fight over getting this man pregnant. It’d be funny to watch."
"He’d be good at it and I think it would bring him happiness. Plus a good chunk of the fandom likes to make it how the cassettes are made so why not?"
