Gun control is possibly the biggest losing issue for the left, mainly because they refuse to acknowledge the fact that (1) you can’t always count on cops, (2) crime=opportunity+desire, (3) over 80% of gun related crime is gang related, (4) schools are the easiest targets for mass murderers, (5) CDC estimates between 500k-3 mil DGU’s annually with the huge margin due to most encounters not seeing the gun fired, (6) the government has failed its job many times when it came to flagging individuals for the NICS background check who then proceed to shoot a lot of people, (7) ERPO totally can’t be used maliciously with no factual ground solely for the purpose of stripping someones rights with no due process, (8) murder rate and gun crime rate has been declining for years, (9) barring the everyday American who is qualified to own a gun is basically saying they’re not important enough to defend themselves because it will be reserved for the wealthy elite, (10) the NRA has been responsible for zero (0) mass shootings, (11) a vast majority of gun control advocates have never handled weapons or know any sort of nomenclature, (12) media sensationalism and American celebrity worship is key in making mass shooters and copycats, and (13) you have no right to determine how someone can defend themselves, their family, or property as it’s none of your damn business.
