Sometimes self-care is very simple: it is about doing the one thing your body needs most: is it eating? sleeping? a shower? watching something funny to laugh? venting? whatever it is, don’t deprive yourself of it.

It's wild that "men are wonderful and actually deserve love" has become controversial and cutting edge feminism but we gotta fight the radfems somehow.
Like, do they really not get that "men are all violent and dangerous" is the patriarchy talking, and that making women fear men benefits the patriarchy and harms feminism? Do they not get how they're upholding toxic masculinity?
women fear men because every day throughout human history they have been subjugating, raping and killing us with impunity. feminists critiquing men online are not upholding the patriarchy. Men ARE the patriarchy, they benefit from being seen as superior to women. What’s your point here??? That men oppress women because we dont coddle them enough?? Jesus christ.
I didn't say "feminists critiquing men online is upholding the patriarchy", I said that calling ALL men everywhere throughout the whole of human history is upholding the patriarchy.
The system of patriarchy wants you afraid. Critiquing the patriarchy is not equivalent to critiquing individual men, by the way.
Encouraging women to fear men is exactly what the patriarchy wants. Fear is a tool of control.
If you say "all men everywhere throughout history have always been bad, no good man exists, being a man is inherently bad", then you teach the men around you that this is true. YOU teach men they are irredeemably evil. YOU teach men they have no self control. YOU teach men they are aggressive. Therefore, you uphold the patriarchy by spreading its message.
If, instead, you say "Men are capable of love and kindness and gentleness", you break the cycle. If you say, "I do not fear men, and I know men who have treated me with love and kindness and gentleness, and those are the men I have respect for", you break the cycle.

“Progress. Just make progress. It’s OK to have setbacks … It’s OK to draw a line in the sand and start over again - and again. Just make sure you’re moving the line forward … Take baby steps, but at least take steps that stop you from being stuck. Then change will come. And it will be good.”
