A new concept + trying out the marker color technique for Shyzel, the Hub's Chief Engineer. She's a bit intimidating and gruff at first, but she's just shy.

Dir. Antonova concept! Director Wenling Esmenjaud Antonova is the half-Spacer, half-Earther director of the Hub station. Basically her job is the same as Benjamin Sisko in Deep Space Nine.

Hub ch 1 pg 8. This is the first page I've mostly colored with physical markers, and I love how quick it was and how it looks! Highlights were added later digitally.

Dr "Chandra" V. K. Balasubramanian

A Cajenite, and Dr. V. K. Balasubramaniam - eccentric 187 year old Spacer genius, brain-transferred into an android body - both from the Hub. We will see them soon.

Also I know the Cajenite life cycle looks dumb. They do not lay eggs, they bud.

Finally got around to coloring a Cajenite in full! They like to wear cloaks and jewelry. =3

Lyra in the afternoon. My first experiment with BOTH markers and a digital touch-up in SAI.

Shyzel and Lily, marker colors. Lily, being an android, is able to do the SHAFT head tilt with complete ease.

I did a couple others, because I love markers!

Here’s a Lyra in markers. You can see a big black smudge on her tummy there, that’s where a blob of ink landed on the page.

She decided to go all-out with her work outfit today. What would you do if you asked for help finding a book at the library and you got helped by a spooky goth girl?

marker practice. There’s a pretty huge smudge from an unfortunate ink-related accident while drawing, but I kinda like it, it looks like she’s got an aura of menacing dark power.
