School of Visual Arts Senior Library by Pentagram
Color is the organizing element in a book showcasing the work of graduating design students from the School of Visual Arts in New York. The book is a celebration of color, with work sorted into a structure inspired by the color spectrum. Each of the pieces has been analyzed through an algorithm to identify its predominant color, then sequenced in a continuous flow over the pages to create a color spectrum.

This was the final for an artists book project that I made. There is a poem I wrote on a Moebius strip inside these containers. The whole thing is interactive really. Generally when I’ve show it to people I give them the container and then are left to figure it out. I made six of these with the goal of an edition of 10. Making the containers was time consuming and arduous. As for the main printing processes used, I made them using Letterpress and Riso Graph. There was a lot of other stuff that went into creating the textures and making the containers and if you’re interested in knowing send me a message!
I had this idea to make even more of them, having different poems all with a cyclical nature sitting there like ocean pools you could walk around, pick up, and explore their different writings. These are something I really wish you could handle and that changes it to something I’d prefer for everyone to have.

New Tools!
The tools and equipment I have in my bindery are not accumulated overnight. Every year, I strive to get myself something to add on to my bindery. This year, my goal is to practise gold tooling and to do it better since it is often requested by customers.
I ordered my Student Set from Bookbindesigns. I looked back at the last time I enquired about prices for this Student Set, and it was in early 2017 when I set my eyes on it. It has taken me about 2 years to save for it. These things do not come cheap and a good set is worth every penny paid.
Kevin Noakes is a very good tool maker. I was super happy when I opened the box and inside it was these gleaming 36 pieces of beautiful brass tools. I shall now spend my down time (if there is even any) finishing the wooden handles with a nice polish. I hope to get some tooling done soon!

My riso-printed typography zine about Wes Anderson!! Im always inspired by Wes Anderson so it’s not surprising that I wanted to make my first zine about him. It’s 10 pages and A5 and more info here.
STUKENBORG
Some of the patterns I made this year. They’re all based on letters, although some are easier to read than others. All risoprinted with two colours. This is part 1 out of 2, I made the whole alphabet but im only posting my favorites. :)
Unlucky cat, risograph printed with 5 colors. For some reason, the teal and orange colors refused to turn out well in scans or photographs
