when you think about, it must be tenna's shows (and the ones from asgore's tv in the flower shop) that helped define each of the flower's identity.

they could only stay in one place and their only way of knowing what the outside world is like is through the screen. they incorporated the kind of shows they enjoyed the most into each of their personalities and desires.

if only tenna knew how much impact he has of the flowers too, not just the two families, he would have been ecstatic, especially since the flowers were actually able to reach their dreams if even for just a small fraction of time 🥹

there's something emotional for me specifically when i used to blast this song on full volume to defeat omega flowey cause i needed a distraction from all the scares (i'm a coward) and how this now fits the vibe of omega flowery and the power of friendship. full circle moment and all the jazz

(this may be a castletown scenario or happy end post-canon in which tenna is happy in mettaton's house while noelle and kris brings the flowers and the laptop whenever they visit the blooks as if they were visitors too)

queen encouraging tf out of tenna to step up their foreplay game and start fucking flowery nasty by giving him a strap cause robots do not have genitals (but flowers do because they're humans, cough). tenna becomes somewhat scandalous at first but of course this is queen we are talking about. she is unfazed and proceeds to educate an embarassed tenna on how to use the thing and hit that ass hard with it.

we could go the extra mile and imagine the strap is high-tech, like she tinkered that shit around. yes there are buttons to change its size, vibration intensity, moisture level.

ohh what about queen also giving tenna extra robotic arms to attach on his side because let's face it: sex with a four-armed tenna is hot and flowery would be down on his knees when four giant hands roamed his twink ass body

something something, flowery and the flowers have been taken care of in a flower pot and is placed in the living room since toriel and asgore moved in together after the wedding. aka tenna has been aware of the flowers' existence since he was first bought/handed down for the dreemurr household

something something they have both watch the marriage flourish, their children growing up, their family remaining content and happy, as if they themselves were also a part of the family. until things start to fall apart

something something both the flowers and tenna have constantly witnessed toriel and asgore raise their voices at one another as asriel and kris cry and seek comfort by watching the tv. it was only when asgore moved out with the flowers that tenna lost touch with asgore, who left a bitter note to him for neglecting his family to discover the truth even when no one blamed him for whatever happened.

something something the flowers recognized that while asgore had done some damage to the family, they still feel pity for the father who continued to tend to their fragile bodies with gentle hands and open his heart to them about his desires and regrets and longing and hopefulness, that his family are still okay, that things will be okay.

something something if tenna stayed in castle town and the flowers were replanted there, tenna and flowery... are gonna have to process a lot of family trauma together.

edit: i know flowers can't grow in castletown, just let me be delusional for this yaoigem 👹

the flowers have loved watching tenna's shows since they were first both brought in the dreemurr household. other than the residences and the holiday fam, the flowers were also a part of tenna's watchers. if the tv was left on as background noise around the house and no one was looking at the screen, it's the flowers who make up for the lack of present audience

everyone has their favorite channels

yellow loved the cowboy show that asgore would regularly watch. he has time and again quoted some lines from that show

green takes notes of the recipes from the cooking show that toriel loved watching

orange felt frustrated that she couldn't join whenever the kids play super smashing fighters. she would cheer for them anyway

aqua wishes she could do the same cartoon violence that she's seen in asriel and kris's favorite slapstick cartoons (like hitting a mouse with a frying pan)

blue becomes enchanted at the telenovela dramas that toriel and asgore keeps track of no matter how cheesy they may be

seth is the only one who stays awake to watch the entire documentary, especially if it's about nature and botany...

other than flowery, who has no particular preference and is simply content with watching whatever tenna shows (believe it or not, he's a curious bean and is quite easy to please. that's why tenna adores him lol)

am i the only one who's bothered that asgore didn't apologize to flowery for playing along, for using him to get closer to his goal?

sure, it'd still be funny if asgore did genuinely find flowery cringe, but i kind of would have liked it if he also expressed some sort of guilt for not reciprocating the flowers' attempt to give back during the short time that they are finally able to, after twenty years of only being in the receiving end. asgore realizing of his negligence to them could serve as a reminder of the way he drove his own family away, who didn't even blame him for the incident.

let's say he's still angry that the flowers beat the shit out of his own child, but he could also see it in the lens that his children (kris whom he raised and the flowers which he cared for since the wedding) were fighting, because of asgore being too wrapped up in his own head to notice. he once again failed to protect kris, he let this happened (not really, but asgore's self-loathing convinces him otherwise). if only he gave the flowers his attention too, then maybe his children won't have to hurt each other.

if asgore truly loved the flowers as much as the they claim him to be, i would have loved more proof of it from asgore himself, that he will always still love them, human or flower. that they don't have to try to become more than what they are physically capable of being. that just by accompanying him during his worst days was all he needed to keep himself alive. that they were the reason asgore continued to love and have hope for the better of kris, asriel, toriel, and everyone he cherishes.

and that was all asgore would ever ask of them. that the flowers' presence is already enough.

damn i needed to see this. i made this post cause i need some sort of explanation why there's a distance between the one who claimed he was being so loved and the one can't seem to do the same.

i guess the flowers didn't properly introduced themselves because

they thought asgore loves them so much he'd recognize them in another form (he does love them, he just doesn't know how dark worlds work. he could figure this out during his research, but maybe because the flowers are special cases of lightner/darkner fusion or have human features, they aren't as obvious as your typical darkners. but wouldnt their colors be a dead give away lol??? or mayhaps asgore was researching about another dark world and was too engrossed on that)

there's some sort of insecurity within all of them of admitting they are beings of 'helplessness' who can't give back until now

if only this fact was spelled out somewhere in the game, then maybe i wouldn't be left hanging in the dark about this. it's truly tragic 🥲

edit: i got my answers from this response. apparently asgore doesn’t even know flowery is the same golden flower he cared for, and for some reason no one bothered to tell him? i just didn’t know/forget where this was mentioned/implied in the game, if it was ever brought up, hence my confusion 😅
