DS 17 Crit this Thursday 2-6pm, Tailoring Workshop next Monday 9:30 - 12noon
Very nice to see all of you and your work yesterday.
Crit this Thursday 10th October: will begin at 2pm in the unit space. We will run two groups in parallel in order to see everyone's work.
Ed Clark and Alex Reddihough and Eliodoro Bigi will join us.
The afternoon will end with an Intro to Shell Lace Structure, when we will hand out Brief B, Introduction to Shell Lace Structure.
Tailoring Workshop Monday 14th October: Will be run by Annie Shellard, Geometrist and Pattern Cutter, and Mike Tonkin, 9:30 to 12.
Please come with scissors, paper, tape, pins, foam board.
Looking forward to Thursday, I'm sure that you will learn from seeing your own and others' work on the wall.
I would like to emphasise that the very minimum requirement include the analysis line drawings and photographs of your cut and uncut shells.
If you do not complete these I will consider it a non-submission, not to mention a disservice to the beautiful shells you've chosen, cut up, observed.
It is very important that you document the shells thoroughly, before we move on to the next Brief.
The next two weeks after Thursday will focus on Shell Lace Structure, involving tailoring, laser-cutting, fabricating with different materials.
