[ Of all the people to find here, this one- he knows this one. Kaworu’s demeanor loses none of its airy calmness at the sight of the Second child, nor does he falter in his casual approach towards her. If this ‘death’ had them in its clutches, so be it- the inevitability of it remains the same no matter what. ]

“It seems that we have met with the same fate, Second. Do you find this afterlife accommodating?”

[ The thought of Shinji losing another person to death fleets across the back of his mind, though no indication of it crosses his face. This is not the time for such things. ]

      “ there’s a big bug on you, you know. ”

there wasn’t. but, she leaned in close to the stranger anyway, peering at their shoulder like there really was an insect perched there. in all honesty, she was just bored. boredom was never appreciated. in such a barren place, fun was hard to find! so, the Quincy had taken it upon herself to make her own fun. which…was proving to be only slightly difficult without her ability in tact.

      “ what is that? a spider, maybe? ”

 It takes his personal space being infringed upon to realize he’s the one being spoken to, but Kaworu does not startle. Instead, his brows give a slight lift as he moves a pale hand to his shoulder, investigating for any insects.

“Is that so? I don’t happen see any, but I am grateful for your notice.”

That said, he lowers his hand and greets her with a truly appreciative smile, the prank already a mile high over his head. Sorry, stranger, but you’ve chosen the wrong victim!

[ Given the barren surroundings, Kaworu is on a bit of a quest to locate items of need! That said, he isn’t shy to pop in on strangers and ask them for any supplies they may be willing to share.

After all, why wouldn’t they? ]

Greetings. Do you own a sewing kit that I could borrow? Or perhaps know of where one could find a set of various tools? 

[ All of this is said with a polite smile but without an introduction, because what are social norms? ]

Who is this cocky asshole? What the hell is a Lilin? 

He raises more questions for each answer that he gives. Irritating. Add doesn’t care.

He grits his teeth, already irritated by the serene tone of voice in the other’s general direction. The other is smaller than he is, but that’s no reason to let his guard down. He’d gotten his ass kicked by people smaller than him before and he sure wasn’t going to get caught in a bad spot with half his weapons missing.

“I’m fine. I don’t need your help.” He growls, trying to take a step back- and as he does so, there he goes falling on his ass, again. The Dynamos fall out of formation. An aggravated scream of frustration escapes him as he rolls off his back and struggling on to his feet. He’s still wobbly.

“Aagghhhh! Don’t fricking touch me!”

He’s reminded of the Second child with how brash the one before him is. It’s a personality he does not chide against, but wonders truly where the harshness stems from in the core of his being.

Kaworu’s extended hand doesn’t falter when the boy across from him does. Rather, he remains unruffled even when the stranger screams, and stoops a bit lower to patiently offer his hand again, seeing as how the other was still having difficulties standing. 

“I only wish to help you to your feet.” He speaks as if he’s talking to an injured animal, softly and quietly. “Are you hurt? I could assist you to your place of residence, perhaps?”

If you were looking for someone who would just leave you there, you’ve found the wrong person.

[ Things have been strange all across the circumstances of his arrival, each and every new experience a fascinating find to Kaworu. 

This, however- someone who could not be Lilin by any extent of the word, is one he approaches without hesitation, tilting his head up at them curiously. ]

“What is it that you are?”

[ Yeah, smooth. ]

A lot of things happened between Peita and wherever this place was, and Add does not dwell on any thoughts of the afterlife. He can’t be dead if he feels pain, and he couldn’t die if his goal hadn’t been accomplished. His hand drifts towards the necklace that’s usually dangling from his neck and he finds nothing. Add whirls around– and there he goes, crashing head first into the ground.

He summons his Dynamos into his vision, and realizes the entire left set is missing, only three hovering diamonds follow his command. Not good. He can’t even try to summon the missing ones, it’s like they’ve been cut off from him entirely. Three is still enough to alert him of the figure staring at him.

Add climbs to his feet, wobbling still, as the Dynamos arrange themselves into a familiar triplet in front of his fingers.

“Show yourself! Just how long did you intend to stare, huh!?”

He’d just been observing, really- he didn’t intend to stare for such a long time, but Kaworu’s never seen any Lilin with pink eyes before. Between the new surroundings and the stranger before him, he hadn’t even realized his gaze had been caught until he was being yelled at.

Kaworu, however, is not fazed.

“My apologies. I did not mean to stare; I’ve never encountered any Lilin with your features before.” 

With that perfectly sensible explanation out of the way, he nods idly to the gadgets hovering in the air. He’s never seen anything like those, either, but there is always more to learn, it seems.

“Do you require help standing?” Is that what those things are for? Balance? He offers a hand between them gently, casually disregarding the tension being given off by the other party.
