Structural Integration for chronic low back pain study
Cycling
The pros are riding in the Tour de France. But whether you cycle for recreational or competitive reasons cycling places unique demands on our bodies that can lead to imbalances in our structure. In our modern life, we spend a great deal of time sitting. This creates shortness in the hip as well as compressing the front of our bodies. For those of you who spend hours on our bike, the problem is compounded by the flexed forward, compact position.
There are many performance advantages that can be gained by restoring optimal mobility, flexibility and stability to your myofascial and joint complex. To generate balanced power on the bike with the greatest efficiency you need free movement around the hip, knee and ankle joints as well as a strong connection of our legs into our spine and torso.
Maybe more than any endurance sport, cyclists don’t bat an eye at spending thousands on a lighter bike but often overlook the major performance benefits that can be realized by hands-on work such as myofascial release. I strongly suggested that before you get professional bike fit that you come in for a few sessions to release structural restrictions. This will result in fitting to the bike to your body in its more ideal, elongated state, rather than fitting the bike to your body with imbalances and compensatory patterns.
Benefits of myofacial release to cyclists:
Greater pedaling efficiency, rotational ease at the hips
Improved respiratory efficiency and capacity
Reduced strain in shoulders and neck
Get the kinks out of your structure before a bike fit
Reduced wear and tear of training and competition
Maintaining an upright and balanced posture off the bike

Why choose Myoskeletal Alignment Therapy (MAT) over other types of therapy?
People with back pain have seen a significant improvement after receiving MAT. MAT can help with head pain, neck cricks, rotator cuff injuries, carpal tunnel, scoliosis, lumbago, sciatica, and visceral problems, among other body issues. By receiving MAT you can increase your flexibility, improve your posture, and decrease pain throughout your body. The reason why MAT works better than other forms of therapy is because it breaks the pain cycles and spasms by combining muscle balancing routines with unique joint-capsule maneuver.
What is True Deep Tissue
Many will argue that true Deep Tissue techniques aren,t really massage at all because Many people, including many misled or under-trained massage therapists, mistakenly believe that a Swedish deep pressure with elbows, a massage consisting of long, flowing strokes that is applied with very firm pressure is a "deep tissue massage" but this is not an effective deep tissue technique stroke. Deep Tissue Techniques has client sometimes in active motion while therapist melts the muscle layers down one by one. Deep tissue massage has oil or cream added and Deep Tissue Techniques don,t they are slow non slip, non glide, its a manipulation of the deeper layers of muscle and soft tissues in the body. It requires the massage therapist to melt into the tissue before reaching deeper layers by warming up the muscles on top. This may not be accomplished in first session.
Many Rolfing strokes are derived out of Deep Tissue Techniques.
Benefits of Deep Tissue Techniques
:Develop optimal balance and coordination
:Unlocks the limitations of chronic tensions, habits and injuries, freedom of energy efficient movement
:Alignment with gravity
