Doppelgänger — is a look-alike or double of a living person who is sometimes portrayed as a harbinger of bad luck. In some traditions, a doppelgänger seen by a person's relative or friend portends illness or danger while seeing one's own doppelgänger is said to be an omen of death

Optical illusions are occurs by our eyes.
In this picture A and B is same, but it looks different two things.
Same color but two different to your eyes. It is duality.
Surround colors made them look different.
One sculpture, but two shadow.
I get idea from this work, and I made a "DOCUMENT/ DUALITY" sculpture.
One side of shadow shows "DOCUMENT" and other side shows "DUALITY".
It is duality face for portrait.
You can see side view and front view in same time.
In my work, I changed nose to side view, so it looks more side and front.
This is part of "Inflammatory Essays"(1979-1981) by Jenny Holzer. That's the text that used on my piece. I though it would be interesting for my work, because it talks about freedom of speech and expression.

What's real is within the frame and everything outside the frame is an illusion.
What's real and a copy of the real thing.
The mere illusion of our perception
