The Stella Cinema - Rathmines
The Stella Cinema is one of many Dublin buildings that have heard the music 🎻 of numerous eras, felt the dancing steps of decades of people 🤵♀️, and now is a place of togetherness and entertainment. Opened in 1923, with its mosaic tiles and decorative ceilings, it was a music venue with an ornate ballroom. Now, restored as a cinema 🎞, it still captures the pure vintage magic of its history while it delivers a modern cinema experience.
The long awaited ‘Wicked’ movie is now in cinema and is playing at The Stella all week, so if you’re in town, a fantastical movie perfectly complements the classic and timeless venue ✨.
*The space is wheelchair accessible ♿, and the cinema accommodates for wheelchair seating.
Whether or not watching a movie is on the agenda, The Stella Cocktail Club offers a food and drinks menu in the beautiful former ballroom. Specifically, it is the perfect place to enjoy your evening before or after the film, and you are welcome to bring your drink to your seats at the cinema for an enhanced experience 🍸🍷.
