I been running a long, long time, Trying to flee that life; But I can’t seem to leave it behind.
I intend to archive this blog and move to a new one when I get off of hiatus. Things should remain entirely the same aside from blog location. No actual date for this to happen. Just whenever I feel up to it, pretty much. Look out for it, though.
just another thing i love on earth

Tbh I don’t know what I’m doing but I love this kid too much not to at least try? If you’re interested in interacting, leave a like or reblog so others can see!! stolensongs:
IT WAS ACTUALLY kind of … sweet, Héctor thought, to see how clearly Donald admired his uncle. There had been a time when he’d had someone look up to him like that; his Coco had looked at him like he hung the very stars and moon. Sometimes, when he lied awake at night, trying his best to fall into the reprieve of sleep, he could still see her adoring face, those bright brown eyes wide and fascinated as he played her a new song every night. He wondered now if she would still feel the same way. If she could meet the papá who had so foolishly abandoned her, what would she say?
ALL THE SAME, rather than focus on those troublesome thoughts, he instead decided to turn his full attention to the little duckling. A smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes touched Héctor’s features, a good enough attempt that it almost swallowed the sadness — almost. ❝ Sounds like a pretty accomplished man, your tío, eh? No wonder you’re already going on adventures, with a guy like that to look up to. ❞
OF COURSE, HE didn’t believe for a second that Donald had actually battled a sea monster, but hey, why ruin the kid’s fun? As a matter of fact, it was pretty amusing to see him try to keep up with the story. And anyway, if he was truly that proud of his uncle, then Héctor wasn’t about to take that away from him. At least someone had a familia they could be close to. Why force everyone around him to share in his loneliness if he didn’t have to?
HE HAD TO admit, the prospect of watching a duck beat up the man who had once been his best friend was certainly a satisfying thought. That would be a fitting response to such a betrayal, wouldn’t it? ❝ Aaaah … it’s TEMPTING, patito, but don’t worry about it. He’ll get what’s coming to him one day, no? Anyway, it might hurt him more for your tío to flash his MONEY at him. He doesn’t like realizing there’s people in the world more important than him. ❞
Truth be told, it was Donald’s sister that always happened to be more fearless and keen at the concept of adventure. She was the one to generally take the reins, even if the situation was as simple as just peeking through a keyhole to see what commotion was going on at the other side.
It was actually something Donald was rather jealous of, and perhaps that was why he tended to act fearless and adventurous on the outside. Admittedly, such a thing was much easier to do toward an adult who didn’t know anything else about the duckling. Donald didn’t appear to mind that Héctor was an utter stranger, much less a skeleton.
“Hey, how come you don’t just teach him a lesson? If you don’t wanna hurt him, you could just drop some pink paint over him when he walks under a door, or -- or you could make him sing the wrong words to a song! I bet that’d embarrass him a lot!” If the duckling’s own experiences to similar pranks said anything.
kaleiidosccpe:
The small talk had calmed him down, slowly waking up the logical sense of his brain as Huey regained movement.
A wing slowly rose to take his Uncles as the ground and roof continued to cripple and shake. After the tug and run everything was left in a blur, going outside the see the Terra-firmians and even getting close to enough to touch one.
Crawling out of the subway tunnels in silence, ignoring the chit-chat that was going on between the group as he simply walked and responded when spoken to directly.
Still, through that little breakthrough of his fears and realizations, Huey felt somewhat ashamed, ridiculed by his own mind even. As his brothers and Webby took the lead the red sporting kid held his Uncle back.
Fidgetting with his fingers and tugging at the end of his shirt before fully finding the courage to look up at Donald.
“I’m sorry.”
“I-I..” Sigh. “I’m sorry for disappointing you..I know I’m the oldest, and I shouldn’t of..well..”
It was too much of a leap from a life-threatening situation to immediately go back to casual chatter. Though relief was evident, his mind was still distracted by the events prior. At the moment he wanted nothing but to talk to Huey as opposed to the destructive environment they had before, he still gathered that perhaps some time for everyone to settle their nerves would be good, even if his own nerves weren’t doing the same.
He stole a glance toward the group continuing ahead and back toward Huey who stood behind. Donald knew this talk was coming, but he figured it would have been at least by the time they got home.
---“Disappointing me?” He said in a tone that suggested the notion given was the complete opposite of what he truly felt. “Phooey. You didn’t disappoint me; I’m proud of ya!” It was then that he knelt down on one knee and placed his hand on Huey’s shoulder in a similar fashion to what he did in the train. Though clearly without the immediate fearing for life.
---“You didn’t let your fears get to you. And ya know, just because you’re the oldest doesn’t mean you always have to know what to do.”
PLEASE
don’t hurt them…
they’re all I’ve got.
