first off can i say how nice it is a blog like this exists?? i havent made an oc in like 5 yrs bc i was scared of being made fun of 4 it so its nice 2 celebrate being self indulgent again lmao

anyway this is elegy + they havent been dueling v long so they havent mastered all the cool trash talk yet and spends most their duels worrying if their burn-stall deck is annoying the other player but at least they make up 4 it by being a graceful loser

Adum’s an OC based directly off myself from the first Yugioh series! He’s a side character in one of my friends’ stories, a charismatic and exuberant kid who more then anything wants people to like him and be his friend, but has…questionable ways of showing it. 

The main premise of his store is that he feels he needs to have strong duel monster cards in order to be well liked, so he blackmails his idol Seto Kaiba into letting him stay with/around him for a month or else his parents will sue his company. During said month, Adum steals the Blue Eyes White Dragons.

her name is Hale Reiser and she’s an American exchange student studying in Japan, who fell in love with dueling after she watched Yuya v. Ishijima.  She enrolled at LDS where she ended up trying to follow the Lancers and ended up in the Fusion Dimension where she had to pretend to be an Academia student.  Also she probably ends up dating Grace Tyler.  She has Gravekeepers deck for the time being but i’ll probably change it lol

So, @duelsonas is a thing now and I love it? (The second one was done by a friend, link here.)

So, my sona is Grace Fallen, ranked third or fourth in America. I’d probably have a deck with half fairy and magic types and half dark/occult types. My whole theme would be the duality of light and dark.

I’m no champion, but I love playing, so I make up in enthusiasm. It’s all in fun for me. (I battle Yugi exactly once, and get my ass handed to me but I was so excited to meet and play him I don’t even care, since he’s like… totally my hero.)

Prince Yami

I have this OC named Prince Yami. He’s the son of Pharaoh Atem and Mana. When growing up in Egypt, Yami was very close to his father. At the age of 7, he was kidnapped by men from the future and taken to the era of 5Ds to be sold off; fortunately he was saved by Yusei Fudo and taken in. At the age of 17, Yami traveled through a portal after saving everyone, only to arrive in Domino City. There he met Yugi and his friends and together all of them go on a quest to get Yami back home.

Gender: Androgynous.

Appearance: They have black hair, and horns like Zorc’s. Their skin is a similar color to Zorc’s, but almost off looking as if they were printed with a printer that couldn’t mix the right color. One of their fingers is a dragon. 

Deck type: Hazy Flames/Firekings (Or shaddoll/lightsworns to piss people off)

haha @ryoubakvra my duelsona is just me attempting to play duel monsters honestly. except I live in a world where chub rub isn’t a thing, and i have unlimited access to fancy socks

However unlike my 13 year old self insert I’m not thinner than I am in real life. the ygo-verse needs some fat characters that aren’t grotesque or jokey, esp. girl.

but the real question is: dinosaurs deck, or spellcasters deck???? Both?

Backstory: Picked up card game she never could figure out as a kid, but becomes involved with supernatural peril when a law is passed in her city to build a casino, and people connected to the project begin turning up unconscious. Who is trying to replicate some kind of ritual from the past, and what do collectible trading cards have to do with it? And what is the connection to the year 1996?

Name: Ruth

She existed 3000 years ago and served as one of Atem’s servants under his direct command.

Race: unknown. Not Egyptian and noticeably a foreigner.

Age: unknown, but is estimated to be a little older than Mana.

Personality: Aloof but fiercely loyal and protective. She occasionally loses composure during a fight and noticeably becomes insanely blood thirsty.

Strengths: She’s an excellent fighter who specializes in barehanded combat fully capable throwing around foes twice her size with ease.

Quotes: “My king, this life of mine which you saved will serve you and you alone. No matter where you go I will follow you to the end of this world” “Ha Ha hahaahahahahaha DIE! DIE! DIE YOU FIENDS! I WILL ERASE YOU FROM THIS WORLD! ” (she’d say something like that if she starts having too much fun in a fight)

Misc Trivia: Priest Seto calls her Atem’s “blind devote” or “loyal dog” behind her back and sometimes to her face. She doesn’t care.

Ka: Black Blooded Jackal. Her Ka has a useful special effect but it can only appear briefly (~3mins)and she tends to faint right after so it is unsuitable for real battle. She needs to train to improve her Ba. Her ka burns through too much Ba at once and that burns her out fast. (Note: IM GONNA DRAW THIS KA OUT ONCE IM DONE EXAMS!)

Background: Her family had been slaves for generations to a neighbouring country. Her mother died in child birth. Her father loved her dearly but was killed before her eyes. (he was trying to protect her and that got him killed) She was freed when her country’s top authorities were all assassinated by a grand scheme masterminded by Atem to take over the country. (This took place 2-3 years before thief king bakura makes his debut)

How she came to follow Atem: to be continued later LOL aka when I’m done exams XD

I made a new duelsona! She doesn’t have a name yet but she’s a witch and got into Duel Monsters when she bought the cards by mistake, thinking they were tarot cards. I imagine she was trying to do a reading at Burger World when Yugi-tachi walk by and Ryou notices what she’s doing and stops to talk with her. He teaches her dueling, she teaches him tarot; they’re both into occult shit so they’d be good friends. 

Bakura doesn’t like her though because she tends to draw sigils on herself to ward off negative spirits. They don’t force him away, but they give him a weird itch.

The cards she’s holding are her normal tarot cards in one hand, and the duel monsters cards in the other. Her deck consists of spellcasters, fiends, and fairies. She uses some Arcana Force cards, but not all or exclusively.

So my Duelsona,

Took me a while to figure some things out but here I go .

Her name is Miu which in Japanese it means “ beautiful “ and “ feather “ .

So she is around nineteen or twenty years old and works as am Idol and on her very rare spare time a duelist because she has always loved magical things . She has tea rose colored hair with lavender eyes . Also she has pretty much normal hair , She keeps her hair half up and half down and her hair is pretty medium . She also sports a white bow in her hair .

She specializes in spell cards because , magic! She also has the Dancing Fairy’s are her prime deck monster as well as the infamous Dark Magician Girl .

So some other tidbits are :

She really likes the Blue Eyes White Dragon , like A LOT . So with that said , She would love to score a talk with Kaiba and get to know more about the rare card and rare monster that she loves so much . She would also like to have one but that would most likely never happen . Money cant buy cards so rare like that .

She actually has a small custom duel disk than what the others use because she has money to do so . Her duel disk is modeled like a rose and then when activated it glows up just a tad and then emerges these angel wings that overlay each other , there are three wings . So think of it as the proto-type duel disk from the Yu-gi-oh! Movie and the DiaDhank had a child , that’s her duel disk .

She is always wearing sunglasses but the cute deco ones and also wears cute fashion , pastel pinks and such warm colors but then there are SOME DAYS where she wears grunge outfits and those days are the best days because no one expects it .

She is currently single and ready to mingle, mainly men who can decimate her own team, and let me tell you, that is rare. Only about five people have beaten her and one of them was her own manager . It was rather embarrassing .

my duelsonas are eric and odd saylor, some 20-something year old rich gays. eric doesn’t take the game nearly as seriously as odd, but plays anyways because its fun to do shit with ur husband. i dont really know anything about deck types but ill probably do research and decide later. also they’re both friends with the retired egyptian god thoth. he’s a real dick and wont let them interfere with the main storyline, so they’re resigned to being background characters.
