I would like to point out that this post specifies NatID/NatalID as something you are bodily or naturally. That specific wording is why. We needed a term for specifying what someone is naturally, regardless of how they ID with it, for things like chronoage, where it doesn't matter if you ID with it, it's important to have that information somewhere because people can get in actual serious legal trouble. And CisID wasn't working because a lot of people have started just using CisID for things that they weren't born with/developed naturally/etc but just consider themselves as having successfully transitioned to.

It does specify that, yes, but it also specifies that it's a replacement for CisID and you still identify with the identity, so it is not like Chronoage, why not come up with a separate label to both CisID and NatID that IS like chronoage?

Short answer? Because we have an unnecessary amount of prefixes as it is, to the point that any given user will most likely have a new prefix that you will have to look up. Rather than having two labels that mean the same thing and coining a third, adding to the prefix problem, it was easier to adapt the second to use a new meaning. Long answer? People started using it that way for the above reason(I did at least) and from there it caught on to the new meaning, regardless of how it was intended to be used when it was coined, leading to a lot of people not even knowing the original was coined with any other intention, hence nobody ever really thought to make another term, since nobody really knew it was needed, thus continuing the perpetuation that the current usage is the actual definition of the term. Kinda like how pro-c doesn't actually mean pro-c anymore because the community decided collectively that it didn't and that it was just the same as pro-cc now.

No problem !! We are also very autistic and had a lot of struggle with the change in definition of pro-c, so we absolutely get it and we're glad we can help people realize that it is an autism thing and not an inherent problem with the change itself! :)

I also see where you're coming from with the prefixes not being a problem from a hoarder standpoint, I was simply considering the number of prefixes from a newcomer's standpoint. Someone first joining the community is, as it currently stands, extremely likely to be overwhelmed and confused by the sheer number of prefixes. I've been in this place for almost 4 years now and even I don't know all the prefixes and what they mean.
