Stockholm Impressions Part 2

Stockholm Impressions Part 1

So.. since there were no direct planes to Gotland I decided to fly to Stockholm and to take a ferry to the little island. Anyway, I wanted to spend at least one day in Sweden's gorgeous capital :D I had an amazing time there - even though I was in a great hurry because I intended to see so many places. I visited the obligatory inner city Gamla Stan (Sergels Torg, Kungsträdgarden, the castle, etc.), Söder Mälarstrand and the Mariaberget, Globen (that gigantic half golfball thingy), Historiska Museet, Riddarholmen, Östermalm, Strandvägen, Djurgarden, ........... What I liked best were my trips to Millesgarden and Beckholmen since there were hardly any tourists and because the places themselves were breathtakingly beautiful!! In the evening I took the metro to Skogskyrkogardan, a huge woodland cemetery, with an unforgetable atmosphere. Oh, and I loved the (Inter) hostel I stayed at - I met lovely and warmhearted people from all over the world.

One day is by far too short to explore Stockholm but it was truly a wonderful adventure. Hopefully, I'll be able to return one day.

.. on the farm I'm currently working at >.< My host mother uses an Internet-stick which she'll lend me from time to time but I won't be able to use tumblr as often as I'd like. I'll mostly keep in touch with you via my side blog weltenzwischenwelten.tumblr.com where I write about my experiences in Gotland but I fear dumara---dumara will be dead for the next 6 weeks.
