Packing some non canon lore I share with @dunaln2 / @dunaldoodles and @illudens!
So, the Family Tree is like this:
The known factions are your typical Decepticon and Autobot, which I'm sure they still exist, despite Megatron leaving behind the Decepticons to form the Destrons, who share Autobot beliefs, but will do anything to achieve that goal. It's basically Autobots with a fresh coat of paint and run by Megatron.
Other factions include: The Crystalix(which is more of a species than a faction...) To which there are only two known members, four if you count Obscura's kids. And then there's the "Hell Hound," a project conducted by MECH(they will have their own post), and as seen, Cerberus us the only member, hinting at something horrible.
History of Megatron suggests that his most loyal follower, Shockwave, and he had a special connection. They were each others firsts in many things. Shockwave's loyalty hasn't dampened, as when Megatron founded the Destrons, Shockwave and his then Conjux, Blurr, eagerly joined the faction, abandoning their roles as Decepticon Spy and Autobot Elite Agent. They all work toward a same goal: Peace across the Universe. Even if some might not agree, such as the Decepticon Supremists, who still follow Decepticon ideals, even if they don't follow Megatron anymore.
Blurr and Shockwave go on to have four sparklings, two of which were also helped made by Megatron, the only other bot Shockwave trusts with his family.
Wavelength is the eldest, taking after most qualities from Blurr and Shockwave. (Art below is Dunal's work. Go follow them!)
Recourse was born second, and despite being carried by Shockwave(simply because it would've been far too big to have been born from Blurr), Reco calls Shockwave "sire" and Blurr its "Carrier." Just goes to show that a maternal bond is present, even if Blurr didn't carry the big beastie. (Art below is also Dunal's.)
Auspice is the third born. She takes after Shockwave's first disguise as "Longarm Prime." Unlike her older siblings, Auspice carries no CNA from Megatron. (Once again, the art is Dunal's.)
And then there was Haven, the last ShockBlurr Sparkling, he takes after Shockwave's second disguise as "Cogwrench." Conjuxed to Obscura(the second Crystalix in existence), Haven is a nerd. He bullshits his way in and out of situations, often leading to chaos. Poor Haven was also bullied often by Wavelength during their younger years. Haven also has a particular interest in dangerous codes... (Art by Dunal, agan.)
With the ShockBlurr part out of the way, the second post will be about Aurelius/Diamante and Wrathwhip's family.
All of this is true EXCEPT a couple details.
Megatron formed the Destrons as a result of a change in heart. While on the surface, Autobots and Destrons look similar, Destrons seek to protect those who wish to remain in the time-space fucked world of Earthspark, and work to defend ONLY the city of New Cybertron and it's territories and human allies. They do not seek peace, but rather second chances for bots on either side who wish to make a new life in this world specifically.
Shockwave was the first to join the faction immediately after formation, having nothing left from the Decepticons worth keeping his badge (it's a long-ass story), serving as second-in-command (though Cyberverse Starscream (renamed Sparrow) 'officially' holds that title, he has no real authority, and most actual leadership defers to Shockwave).
Blurr, however, was more stubbornly attached to the Autobots. It took him several months of convincing to replace his red Elite Guard insignia for blue... which he immediately noticed was the EXACT SAME SHADE OF BLUE AS HIS SECONDARY PAINTS. He was both flattered and a bit shocked (hah) that Shockwave had chosen that color lmao. Megatron wouldn't let his old friend hear the end of it once he noticed!
Between Wavelength and Recourse, Megatron helped most with the latter sparkling almost exclusively because Blurr simply couldn't keep up with material demands on his own. Wavelength has very little influence from Megatron at all, only barely enough to make them slightly larger and with a sturdier shell than either of their youngest siblings. Otherwise, it's all just Blurr and Shockwave.
Recourse also only calls Blurr 'Carrier' and Shockwave 'Sire' because that's what it's siblings call them. Sure, Blurr is more doting (or annoyingly hovering, depending on which kid you ask), but maternity is more of a human concept than a Cybertronian one. In it's usual pictographic way of communication, Shockwave is denoted by a crown, and Blurr is denoted by either a blue square (it picked that BEFORE finding out about the whole 'cubing' thing) or a lightning bolt. Megatron, meanwhile, is a sword.
And finally! Haven still gets teased by his eldest sibling. Wavelength will never let that go. The two of them WILL turn on anyone else who dares to pick on the other, though. It's scary to see Wavelength yell at some random bot thst just called Haven a name when mere seconds ago they were also calling him names.
