I found this to be a very interesting read. It also hit very close to home for me. I could relate to almost every statement made in this piece. Aside from that though, I think the voice had a very strong presence. I was very surprised to read something like this in the times.

Aside from what the author believes personally and the ethics behind it, the story is poorly written. A majority of the pictures were not disturbing in my opinion, and the captions under them were offensive and, quite frankly, just dumb. There was no evidence or support in this article.

This article did a good job summarizing not only the idea that Dario Fo died and how; however, it also touched on who exactly he is. I also liked how much it included his wife because of the fact that she was such a big part of Fo’s, not only life but, art work. This article touched on big moments in both of the artists’ lives, including the traumatizing experience his wife went through and the art piece she turned it into. It jumped around a bit; however, never felt overwhelming or confusing but instead worked to keep my attention.

When did you move to NYC?

Um, August 2014. 2 years ago.

Okay, what were you expecting when you first decided to move to New York?

I… like school or the city?

Both.

Okay, well I thought school was going to be awesome and everyone at The New School was going to be so like friendly and I thought that like all the bars would be filled with like um, what’s it called…wall street boys. *Laughs* yeah

And were you right?

NO. No, but like it also has been great in other ways. But like yeah…

Ways like how?

I think that you grow up so quickly here and so I’ve matured more then I thought I ever would. And I’ve learned more about myself um I wish Parsons, The New School had like a little bit more of a community. And so like friendships could be something that’s also growing but yeah

What’s been your most memorable NYC experience?

You’re just gonna hit me with that?! Um, oh this one time, this past summer, Kara and I and our friend Tye just decided to um go on a train and go to the Hamptons and we met some boys and it was just, it was a lot, just like super chill and fun, I don’t know.

Don't worry, America, we got this.

I am not a fan of buzzfeed; however, I think they accomplished what they were trying to do in this article. The way each line was worded gave a calm, nonchalant, laid back type feel, and I believe that is what they were trying to accomplish. I did not like the layout being that, like most buzzfeed articles, the layout was overwhelming.

Vox Pop: What was your most memorable moment in NYC?

(1) “First got married!”

(2) “Back in the 80′s I got to work at about 4 in the morning. Lower Manhattan, I was down on Beaver St. and a manhole cover blew and nobody was out. Theres this big boom and all these gases came out from underground and swirled all along the buildings and it was just like one big orange fire bomb and nobody was around. I just felt like I just stepped out of a space ship...and I was just in awe.”

(4) “I’ve only lived in the city for 30 days. But um I think watching the sunset on the Brooklyn Bridge.”

Design Bootcamp (basic idea)

In my 5 page booklet I am going to explore beauty through micro photography. I am going to find a few mundane objects and zoom in to take a picture that is fascinating and beautiful. On the back of the page will be a normal photo of the object so that my audience can see what it actually was. When zooming in you are given the opportunity to see the real details of something which often makes things beautiful and interesting, even if the object is usually considered mundane.
