@durouxkiller8
That's literally me.
Every. Fucking. Chapter.
when you write fanfic, you have the power of the entire universe in your hands. write whatever you want. there're no limits. it is your creation, your universe
Boyfriends
So, you have to kill off a character đȘđ€
1. Silence > Scream â Donât let anyone shout âNOOO!â like itâs a bad soap opera. â The gut-punch comes from stillness. A friend realizing the body isnât moving. A hand slipping from theirs. A breath that doesnât come back. â Example: âHe waited for the next rise of her chest. It never came.â
2. Subtle Details, Not Monologues â Avoid characters delivering five-minute speeches about how much the dead one meant. Thatâs cheese-drenched exposition. â Instead: show someone trying to tie their shoes with shaking hands. Or refusing to leave the body. Or pocketing some tiny keepsake.
3. Physicality Over Words â Grief is ugly in the body before itâs in the mouth. â Numb fingers. Stomach drop. Knees buckling against a wall. â The best line might be no line at allâjust the sound of someone struggling to breathe.
4. Aftermath, Not Just Death â Donât zoom out as soon as the heart monitor flatlines. The power is in the next five minutes. â How do the survivors react differently? The sarcastic one goes silent. The stoic one cracks. The optimist starts cleaning blood off their hands like if they scrub hard enough, it wonât be real.
5. Tone, Not Tropes â Kill clichĂ© phrases: âDonât leave me,â âStay with me,â âNo, God please no!â â Replace with something raw and specific: - âYou were supposed to outlive us all, you stubborn bastard.â - âDonât you dare make me the one to tell her.â
Prompts for writing eyes like that
âč Her eyes werenât just brown, they were honey caught in shadow, glowing when the light touched them.
âč Her gaze was warm, the color of autumn leaves when theyâre just starting to crisp.
âč Her gaze was the color of chestnuts, shiny and alive.
âč She blinked, and it was like sunlight filtering through amber glass.
âč Her gaze was the color of melted caramel, sticky, warm, impossible not to taste with your thoughts.
âč His gaze wasnât soft, it was molten, the color of earth dreaming of fire.
Some idiot: "Why are you reading your own fic, that's shallow and stupid"
All fanfic writers and writers everywhere: "Who the fuck do you think I wrote it for?!"
Tips for Writing Emotional Breakdowns
â§Â Crying isnât pretty. Itâs snot, blotchy faces, gasping for air, and red-rimmed eyes. Forget the single tear rolling down like in Hollywood.
â§Â Anger often hides hurt. People lash out, slam doors, shout, not always because theyâre just mad, but because theyâre covering up fear or pain.
â§Â Shaking is common. Stress dumps adrenaline into the system. Hands tremble, voices break, knees wonât stay steady.
â§Â People go quiet, too. Not all breakdowns are screaming and sobbing. Some are dead silence, staring off, numb responses. Equally devastating.
â§Â Exhaustion hits after. The âpost-breakdown crashâ is real ... headaches, sore eyes, complete emotional hangover. Theyâll want to sleep for hours.
â§Â Words get messy. Rambling, repeating the same sentence, stuttering, saying things they donât mean. Emotions trip over themselves on the way out.
â§Â Breathing changes. Short, shallow breaths, hiccupping gasps, or holding their breath without realizing. Sometimes it even feels like theyâre choking.
â§Â Embarrassment creeps in. Once the wave passes, a lot of people feel ashamed, apologizing or avoiding eye contact. Vulnerability often leaves guilt in its wake.
â§Â Physical pain shows up. Tight chest, stomach aches, tension headaches. Because emotions donât just stay in the mind , the body carries them too.
