#writing #blood meridian i think #separate thing bc the audience usually doesnt *feel* complicit (as far as ik) but this is true crime fans to me but they just dont know it #like the commercialization of real life violence and tragedy.... i do think by consuming it in such unaffected ways (through ur weekly #podcasts and such) that u r a little complicit the the dehumanizing violence against the victims.... and i say this as an ex true crime fan #i used to be really involved in that world and thats how it is. its weird. i thought it was weird the way people treat some murders as #“uninteresting” bc only two deaths happened. its so weird. theyre complicit but theyre happy to be there and its the most bizarre thing #text post #sorry lol that was a bit irrelevant

i don’t know i’ve been thinking about the delicate flower quests and how besides elderbug, all the flowers are offered specifically to characters who in some way don’t see the real potential behind the knight.

The flowers feel to me as tk’s way of seeking for approval and affection, cuz really in the end it just wants to be loved. This bugs first moments were being cast down, rejected and forgotten among many and it just wants to be loved .
