THE ASSORTED ABSURD ADVENTURES OF THE DUSKFIRE GUILD IS HERE!
hey y'all! i thought it would be fun to make a little audio drama podcast that follows my silly little group of adventurers through a day in the life of being in a Recovery Guild. We've got all the classic Duskfire staples: action, Talentsickness, and magic galore! You don't want to miss this!

so here's a fun thing i thought i could do!
i want people to engage with my characters but i am creatively drained and unable to do any sort of writing about them currently. so here is my plan: an in-character ama with all the characters from duskfire! here they are if you need a refresher:
⚙ Nel: A tinkerer cat who struggles with anxiety. She is the leader of the group. pronouns: she/her!
⚔ Fenne: The swordfighter of the group! A little fox with a box on their head. They tend to get a little... excited when they are in battle.
🔥Skip: The group's spellcaster and Dreamweaver. He is an expert at defensive magic, and at blurring the line between dreams and reality through the ancient art of Dreamweaving. He grew up as a street rat before the Guild took him in.

going back over my process for creating a duskfire comic, I’ve realized that the main source of burnout comes from coloring- this leaves me with a couple of options for how to continue the series and I’d like to know which one you would want to see!! Here are the options! I could:
a) continue the comic as a lightly coloured, lightly backgrounded manga like thing with an artstyle similar to animatics.
Unfortunately making a webcomic comes with a severe case of artistic burnout that I did not predict, so, unfortunately, the webcomic is probably not happening qnq- but to make up for it, here is a full, complete first page of what the comic would have been!
but don't worry!! This isn't the last time you'll see these characters, and Duskfire will live on!! I have something really big planned, so stay tuned :D Thank you for all your support :333

Fandom OCs are okay if they are distinct enough from the parent media to pass as their own thing
Duskfire does not have any humans in it at all but if you reeeeally want to submit a human we can figure something out-
What to Expect:
Unsuprisingly, I am a busy girl, and I don't often have access to tumblr, so it might take me a while to add your character, but I promise I WILL get around to it!!
The characters will be scattered throughout the first episode of The Duskfire Guild as mostly extras
I will send you back a photo of the panel your character is in once I finish it (panels are subject to change after this screenshot though)
I can also post just a blank ref of the character if you want!

By participating, you give me permission to use your character in the art of The Duskfire Guild. I reserve the right to change, modify, or adjust any character designs as I see fit (mostly just to make it fit within the Duskfire world). Credit will be given at the end of the issue, under the name that you submit!

This is Skip! An impulsive and sometimes manic bat, and the Duskfire Guild's premiere Dreamweaver! He always has a sparkle in his eye, and it tends to rush into situations without thinking. Once a street rat, he works to give back to the town that took him in.

Talent: Tinkering and Gadgetry
Introducing Nel! The leader of the gang, she's quick on her paws and always has a backup plan! She tends to avoid close-up combat, preferring diplomacy or, if worst comes to worst, space from afar to meticulously lay her gadgets and traps. Sure, sometimes she's an anxious mess, but she's not gonna let that stop her from leading the best Recoverers in town!
