No, see, I am excited for the VII raid because I have long withheld the idea that, if Sephiroth was pitted against the WoL and not little Cloud Strife, he would get his ass handed to him far faster and without the WoL breaking a sweat.

Because Sephiroth hails from a planet where its natural magic users are mostly all dead and people have to use materia to cast spells. Which gives him a leg up on the people of his world.
