It really is kind of funny that while Emily Prentiss does like Gideon— she thought he was a lot more histrionic and dramatic than Rossi.

Prentiss kept pushing back against Gideon’s tactics and he was a dick to her for a stretch.

As opposed to Rossi who went to bat for her during Demonology, and since then Prentiss has been ride and die for him.

(Rossi too became Ride and Die when she and the whole team went after him the first time he went rogue.)

I don’t know if Gideon would have ended up liking Emily since his favored son was always going to be Reid.

I miss truly episodic TV. Like, I’ve been re-watching Battlestar Galactica, and there’s an episode that’s nothing but boxing matches and flashbacks that do an insane amount of character and plot development. It makes the show even better. This episode would never get made in today’s 8-10 episodes per season, and it’s truly a loss.
