A Few Last Words

Every person in the world is going to have a time when they speak their last words whether or not they realize that that’s what they are when they say them.  From the classic redneck “Watch this, y’all!” to Harriet Tubman’s “Swing low, sweet chariot,” last words are a heavily contemplated topic in our society.  As this generation bounds through the digital age, we have created websites, blogs, youtube channels, and other social media avenues that are basically extensions of ourselves.  Some of these outlets grow so large that they seem to have a life of their own.  Now I’m not saying that this blog is large enough to fit into that category, but what I am saying is that this blog has been a big part of my life for going on four years.  

You’re probably wondering why I’m telling you this.  It’s because I am going to delete this blog.  Why, you might ask?  Because I don’t feel like the posts on here reflect the person that I want to be.  I have almost fifty thousand posts on this blog, so there is no possible way to conveniently delete all of those, even with cheats and extensions (I’ve tried).  So, the only solution that I have found is to get rid of this one entirely after creating my new one (unshakablelove.tumblr.com).  

Deleting this blog is going to be difficult for me.  That’s why I’m here, writing this post as the final words of this blog.  

To all of my followers, thank you for even following some kid like me in the first place.  If you want to follow my new blog, that would be wonderful, and you’re welcome to do so, but just know that the content will not be the same.  

My new blog is going to be aesthetic/Christian (possibly with political posts) oriented.  I am not doing this because I am radically changing who I am.  I am doing this because it is who I’ve always been, but I haven’t felt like I’ve done enough to share it.  You can ask me questions about it any time.

What she says: I'm fine.

What she means: Marriage is a religious institution which the government unnecessarily involves itself in. It shouldn't matter if you're for or against gay marriage, everyone should be against what SCOTUS has done. The government should have no say in marriage. They shouldn't be able to tell you who you are allowed to marry. That's between you, your significant other, and whatever god you believe in. If you're rejoicing and praising the Supreme Court over this decision, you're just praising the government for saying "I'm allowing you to do this, I'm giving you permission" The government shouldn't give any of us permission when it comes to our love lives. We shouldn't have to ask the government for a certificate to make our marriage "valid." Straight, gay, bi, whatever you are, it doesn't matter. We shouldn't have to ask the government to let us marry. The government isn't in charge of me and my personal life decisions and it's not in charge of yours. Get the government out of our lives. Get the government out of the bedroom. Go to your church/synagogue/mosque/temple whatever and get married there. The government doesn't have the authority to marry anyone. God does.
