 Emily laughed a little bit at his slip up in the class name. “ Not really astrology, but astronomy ” She said moving to stand up. “ Astronomy studies things outside the world and astrology studies how they affect people and events. I’m taking astronomy and in the club. She finished now standing in front of the male. “ So you like old air then?”

“Oh- right.” Dustin nodded as though he had known that all along, even though he certainly had been mistaken. He made an amused face at her question, “No, it’s just like colder.”

“My God, you never run out of cliches,” she drawled, smirk still in place. “Ah, but no one said I had to answer,” she hummed. “I think I’ll keep that a secret to myself – you know, keeping the mystery or whatever.” She flashed him a smile, waving a dismissive hand. “Excuse me? Please, I don’t have time to look after boys like you,” she responded with a short laugh, placing a hand on her hip.

“I have a billion more talents you haven’t noticed yet.” he said puffing out his chest slightly. “You’re not very good or whatever.” he chuckled mocking her phrasing of what she was trying to accomplish.  His smirk turned more into a lop sided smile at her gesture “Boys like me? What does the mean?” he asked wiggling his eyebrows.

“I wish it was more exciting than it sounded.” She said, letting out a small laugh at his response. She was the one who approached him about joining the team and then taught him the basics of playing, so it really was on her that he was wanting to play over the break. “Good thing we’re back now, huh? Don’t worry, we’ll start practices early this year. We are going to win the cup.”

“I don’t know it’s a half loose half win type thing. I get quidditch but I also get you.” he laughed lightheartedly. “True though. I never had a doubt.”

Emily was staring at the sky sat on the field, she knew she could have just went to a tower to look, but she felt like being more outside. She turned to the voice. “ I’m just looking at the stars, getting ready for the class on them. What are you doing here?” She responded then questioned.

“You take astrology?” he asked slightly impressed when he looked up at the sky all he saw was a mess of light dots, sure a beautiful mess, but still nothing he could make sense of. “Eh, not much. Air’s cool at night.” he meant figuratively of course but mostly because of it’s literal coolness.

“I didn’t feel like unpacking, so I decided to kill time by going for a walk, seeing if there was anything new around the place. And then I got bored with that and decided why not go spend some time around the place that will mostlikely see me the most this year. So here I am.” She shrugged, then questioned him back, “What are you doing here?”

“Intriguing line of events.” he smiled at one of the only girls he knew who would take the time to tell the whole thought process that lead to her arrival. “Eh, the same. You got me addicted and now I suffer over break.” he joked referring to the fact that the girl had been the one to really get him into quidditch.

Zafkiel frowned, not quite expecting someone else to be out late at night. “I–” He paused, teeth worrying his lower lip. “I wasn’t expecting someone to be here as well.” He admitted, not seeing any reason as to why he should beat around the bush.

Dustin made a kind of confused face at the boy before changing into a somehow half amused and half welcoming smile. “Bro, that wasn’t like a get out of here ‘what are you doing here’, it was like a hey, sup man, ‘what are you doing here’. You’re chill.”

“Oh cool.”Cat shook her head.”Darn I need to get my ears checked out. Well which would you prefer? Not surfing all term or not flying?” She plops down onto the grass,laying her broom beside her.

“Or I guess it might be?” he corrected himself chuckling slightly. “Might be easier when your dad’s a professional surfer.” He nodded at the mistaken girl with a smile. “Prob but hey first and last letter are the same and the term hasn’t even like started yet, you’re cool. See you gotta stay open to doing shit wrong like forgetting how to spell stuff like carrot wrong.” He looked at her as if her question was silly before explaining that “Not surfing, way worse.”

“I should ask you the same thing,” Evelyn responded, shielding her eyes from the glare of the lumos charm with her hand. “Isn’t it past your bedtime, Parker?” she quipped with a playful smirk.

“Nox” he called his lumos coming to an end. “Shloulda, coulda, woulda,” he lazily mumbled the cliche “but snoozers do the losing and I asked you first.” he said tilting his head with a mock serious expression as though he would change the rules if he could but that was really simply how the world turned round. Dustin squinted at the girl and nodded at her with a certain amount of mirth in his eyes that only Dustin could muster “Why? Do you want to tuck me in?” he asked with a smirk that replicated her own.

“Now, now,” Joseph raised his hands a smirk on his face, “It’s just me, and while it may be dark, I have some practise to get in. After all, I won’t get the vacant seeker position just be sheer luck. I’m not a Gryffindor.”

Dustin shrugged his shoulders with a chuckle “Dude, it’s too bad you don’t have skills like me so people actually consider trying out against you.”

Maybe I will one day,it sounds like fun.Surfing of a whole team? I didn’t know surfing was a team event. Cool so we’ll chill out here until Curfew.

“It’s not hard.” he shrugged. “Nah,” he chuckled shaking his head amused. “It sucks to not surf all term. Term, not team. Sounds like a plan.” he said taking a seat on the grass.

Surfing,huh? I’ve never tried that before but I could see not flying for two onthes being a pain. Yeah,it’s okay enough so I’ll stay.

You should, it’s fucking great. Not like as bad as not surfing for a whole term. Cool.

Same. Surfing's my number one but a whole break off a broom is killer. It’s still pretty chill out here though. Staying?

Dustin was out on the quidditch field but it was already dark out causing him to be cast a lumos. “What are you doing here?” he asked raising a brow.

“I am not a perv, bro. I just can appreciate the female species by doing more than talking to them.” he pointed out with a chuckle and smirk to accompany the statement. “Sounds like the best shit that I’ve heard come out of you mouth for a good while now.” he laughed a bit joking around with the old friend he hadn’t seen in so long. “I mean I’ll be here for another two rides in that thing old man but a lasting impression is what I go for 100 percent of the time. Any ideas, bro?” loving Charlie’s plan already.
