It’s hard to imagine moving forward without Carrie Fisher, but her legacy will remain even if she is not physically with us. She was someone who went through shit in life and still came out of it a princess. We all may never star in one of the most famous movies of all time, or be award winning authors, or help write one of the most famous Star Wars movies of all time, or be able to tweet with emojis in witty and hilarious ways, but we can all still be like Carrie. She survived, she thrived, she owned who she was. She was just as much of a rebel as Leia is.

We can carry on with Carrie’s legacy by loving ourselves and fighting for ourselves and being the kind of people that Carrie would be proud of. Whether it be writing that story you’ve been dying to tell, looking in the mirror and saying “this is my body and I fucking love it!”, or just simply getting up in the morning again and again keep moving forward. She would want to know that she is survived by a legacy of girls who give no fucks and who fight for themselves and who were inspired by everything Carrie gave to the world.

May the Force be with you, Carrie. You’ll always be royalty to me.

remember the white dress i wore all through that film? george came up to me the first day of filming, took one look at the dress and said: “you can’t wear a bra under that dress.”

“ok, i’ll bite,” i said. “why?” and he said: “because… there’s no underwear in space.”

he said it with such conviction. like he had been to space and looked around and he didn’t see any bras or panties anywhere.

he explained. “you go into space and you become weightless. then your body expands but your bra doesn’t, so you get strangled by your own underwear.”

i think that this would make for a fantastic obituary. i tell my younger friends that no matter how i go, i want it reported that i drowned in moonlight, strangled by my own bra.

1036. Lily and James' first time was in the Room of Requirement. They didn't mean to spend the night there and didn't even know the room existed until then- it just happened. When they came back to the dorm they found banners that said "it’s about bloody time" and all their friends clapping. Sirius even came and shook their hands. Lily didn't know where to bury herself but James enjoyed every second. He felt like he just won but not at Quidditch- he won something much more important, Lily.

I miss the old Stella. The Stella that had insecurities, wrongly thought of herself as just a pretty face, whose coping mechanism was making lame jokes, and who seemed so full of herself just because she was so insecure. That’s a Stella many girls can relate to, not the Stella nowadays who is by far less intelligent than the previous one, and who only seems to care about fashion and nothing more. The old Stella liked fashion too, but it was not as exaggerated as it is now.
