My first full painting done at my new desk! It's Tohru Honda from Fruits Basket, in an outfit she wore in the second episode of the new anime. I wanted to be creative with the coloring to make it more fun, so I did yellows for the areas getting hit with the most sunlight and blue for the shadows! I did little splashes of pink here and there for fun. I don't know if the placement of the lights and shadows make sense, and some areas are embarrassingly muddy due to all the different colors I used (don't look at her ear! xD), but in general, I think she looks pretty nice. :) This was done with Marie's Watercolors on Canson watercolor paper.

No, Ralsei, I'm not holding back. I just don't understand how the timing on his boss gimmick is supposed to work.
I think I know why Ralsei says this. from their point of view we beat every boss the first time (except the Knight) (but also the Knight if you beat them), because if we didn't, we die and have to reset. since Flowery doesn't kill us, the repeated losses would almost seem intentional. even if Ralsei knows the soul can reset, they don't remember the resets. they probably don't know how often Kris dies.
Taps the signs
Top: in Donkey Kong Bananza, the elephants in the Tempest Layer are a community of weather forecasters. While at first this appears to be simply a deliberately odd combination, similarly to the zebra ice cream makers or snake sculptors found elsewhere in the game, this may actually be based on a real-world scientific fact about elephants.
Bottom: it was long suspected and finally confirmed in a 2014 study that, using a combination of not yet understood subtle signs in the environment, elephants are able to predict rainfall from 150 miles away and migrate towards it to increase chances of finding food and water. It is theorized that the mechanism of their detection involves their acute hearing and an ability to sense atmospheric pressure changes.
Whether this connection is deliberate or merely a remarkable coincidence is unknown.

I have a bisexual guppy and its funny as hell to watch because it seems like he’s only bi out of desperation. Like all of the female guppies are unimpressed by him, and dont accept his mating displays, and every time he fails, he goes over to a SPECIFIC male guppy (the prettiest male guppy in the tank) like PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE and that male guppy always lets him????
i would read that fanfic ngl

Always remember that the EU did a study in 2013 about the effects of piracy on media publishers and found that there is no correlation between piracy and sales! (And then they tried to hide that study bc that's not the result they wanted)
So piracy is at worst not even a problem, and at best it's free advertisement.
Source: (the link to the actual study is in the article)
In 2013, the European Commission ordered a €360,000 ($430,000) study on how piracy affects sales of music, books, movies and games in the EU
Plus this one:
A new report out of the UK once again deflates the common narrative that pirates are exclusively looking to obtain free stuff.
I’m planning on painting this when I get a chance, but my blog has been so stagnant lately that I had to post something, even if it’s unfinished! This was requested by @dwarfvader. Thanks for being a loyal follower! ^w^
I'm very happy with how this turned out! I almost gave up halfway, when the lineart initially looked sloppy, and the horizon line was too dark, but I persevered and continued with painting the ocean and sky, which was a bit of a daunting endeavor. I'm still learning how to paint backgrounds. I wasn't entirely sure what I was doing with the ripples in the water, but I think it went really well! After I colored the background, I softened the horizon line with a white gel pen, and then I proceeded to re-ink Yuna. I made her outlines more solid, which gave her a Tetsuya Nomura feel. This brought everything together so well. Then I painting soft yellows on the side of her closest to the sun, followed by blues for shadows on her side away from the sun. Last but not least, I filled in her colors. I painted this with the plan of selling it at my local craft store!
