Never drunken for too long, her warm wolf blood wouldn't allow it.
Getting up off the floor, cracking her neck to the side, she heads to the shower, getting herself cleaned up.
Wiping the fogged up mirror sideways with her hand, she stares at herself in the mirror.
She barely recognized herself, there's bags under her eyes from running for so long and getting less sleep.
Clenches her hand into a fist, pulling it back, she smashes her knuckles into the mirror, watching the glass fall into the sink, some covered in blood.
The wounds are already healing.
Fuck.
Pulls on her favorite tshirt and jeans, along with her boots.
Strange sounds, sounds kinda like a whooshing.
Flashing lights and winds that shouldn't be indoors but are and are blowing things around the room like crazy.
All of a sudden a small figure comes through a purple and black portal on the roof of her hotel room.
Landing on Cho's lips, their lips touching as Cho loses balance and falls over.
Gobblez flew through the untempered vortex, the starlit clouds of time and space flowing all around her.
But something was wrong. She began to feel pulled away from the center of the vortex, getting sucked into a branch off stream
God dammit, not again...
She braced herself for anything as she tumbled through the angry thunderous clouds of the stream.
More branches appeared off of this stream. Strange. She tried to catch a glimpse through the openings as she flew past and all she could make out was a singular beautiful woman.
This must be her time stream.. and it looked like hell.
A gateway opened far in front of her, bigger than the others. All she could see was... a living area? Andthe wman coming into the picture, and looking straight up at Gobblez.
Her body flipped as gravity began to take hold and she fell straight through the gateway on top of the woman
Their lips locked as she landed and her prosthetic arm and leg broke off from the impact, scattering brass parts across the room.
She was soft, and abnormally warm. She did her best to hold herself up with her arm
"Oh gods.. are you okay miss? I- I'm sorry I didn't mean to fall on top of you" she blushed furiously, her pointed ears flashing bright red instantly
It was her timeline and it was hell.
Once she is able to assess the situation, she tries her best to help the stranger into a sitting position.
"Don't call me miss, it's so formal, just call me Cho."
The blush is cute, but it's lost on her. She's more concerned about what the hell just happened and not on the way this new person fell on her.
Looks at the shattered pieces of her prosthetics, sighing.
"Well you aren't any use to anyone like this now are you? One leg and one arm."
Laughing seems counterproductive.
"This is a right mess you've gotten yourself into."
She gets up, dusting herself off, crossing her arms.
Studying where the portal once was.
"Where exactly did you come from anyway?"
She brushes herself off once she's sitting, appreiative of the help.
"Alright then, Cho" She smiled, it was a cute name
"Honestly this isn't the first time this has happened, the third or fourth time I believe now."
She sighed heavily, a deep sadness washing over her as she reached for the nearest brass parts and did her best to start fitting them back together.
"Originally? I'm from Faeria, but I haven't been back there in.. probably 30 years or so now. I made a dimensional portal to look for my mother after she went missing.. but now I'm the one that's lost!" She laughed
"I've been jumping through portals for years now trying to get home, and apparently it went wrong.. again."
Her quick goblin-like fingers pieced together the brass arm with ease, this wasn't the first time after all. Soon she had an elbow and a wrist put together. She looked up and smiled at Cho
"I'm Gobblez by the way, Gobblez Eldhamar. Half goblin, half dwarf. It's nice to meet you Cho "
"Likewise little halfling."
She could come in handy, she's quite good ar fixing things.
Once her leg and arm were reassembled, Cho helps Gobblez up.
"Interesting name, your parents were either cruel or you just liked to gobble on things?"
Not trying to be funny.
Well at least the ceiling isn't broken so she won't have to pay for that, but they may ask questions about her now +1.
"I saw in this movie about Spiderman, which in that universe he didn't exist and well they were able to pinpoint his universe by his DNA and send him back through a machine, maybe there is a way we could do that, kinda like floo powder."
Magic might be able to help get this stranger home.
"But there is a problem you see I am on the run, and it won't be long before they pick up my scent again and I'll have to leave.
I'm never in one place for more than a day or two. This is the life I chose, and you are in grave danger just being around me..."
"Hahaha I've heard that before, no my parents weren't cruel and while I did like to chew on things, that's not the reason. It's a traditional goblin name and honestly that's one of the better options for a name for goblins!" She laughed, amused at the question.
"That sounds like an interesting theory for sure, although I haven't heard of floo powder before"
She'll have to build this DNA machine at a later date, it seemed like she needed help.. although the mention of scent kinda threw her off.
"What do you mean they might pick up your scent..? You make it sound like they're dogs or something" She looked confused, dogs wouldn't cause this much of an issue
"As for the danger, I'm used to that. I've fought dragons before I'm able to handle myself for the most part." She paused thinking for a bit.
Cho was in danger clearly.. she looked almost nervous, scared even. Gobblez had to help her. It would cause shame to her clan otherwise.
"Maybe my scent might help keep them off your trail, I can't imagine there's many people like me here. They'll most likely get confused and lose your scent. And if you're in danger I can help out. It's gonna take me a while to be able to find a way home anyways, we could travel together for a while until you're safe."
"I think either way, we're boned, you because of my scent now being on you and because well I'm a runaway, left my pack...
The Alpha decided that he wants to marry me and he wants to mate for life and apparently he imprinted on me the moment he happened upon me in those woods that day.
I told him I didn't want to marry him and raise his pups, I told him I didn't imprint, I couldn't imprint, that part of me is gone, I no longer wish to have a partner or children, I'm done with being a doormat, to be tossed aside whenever it's most convenient for them, yes I made mistakes, but goddammit if I didn't try. I did, I tried for him, I tried so hard..."
Fuck.
"You might want to run..."
She's changing rapidly, and she doesn't know if she can control herself in her wolf form.
Gobblez listened intently as Cho described everything and she finally understood. Pack.. Alpha.. imprinting.. Cho was a werewolf.
A tear ran down her cheek, she could feel Cho's pain, she understood all too well what it was like to be a doormat..
She cursed under her breath as Cho started to change form and tried to remember the song her father taught her.. dammit what was it?
Too late. Gobblez had to rely on instinct and just started to sing, raising her metal arm in defense just in case it didn't work.
She sang of the moon. How it shined down upon a couple resting on a beach. How they held each other as the waves flowed peacefully from the sea.
She sang of an ancient love, bound with magic powered by moonlight. How they loved with all their soul, for the moon wished them to be happy.
She sang of calm, peaceful nights. Trees swaying from a gentle breeze while the lovers traveled the world. How they admired the lands they saw
Gobblez poured her heart into every word, tears streaming down her face because she knew Cho needed her more than ever. She didn't care that Cho was a werewolf. Didn't care that she was in danger. She continued singing even as her voice cracked from the strain.
It seemed to be working so far at least
Smart, music to soothe the savage beast, she's gonna have to jeep a close eye on this one.
Slowly she started to calm down and shift back.
Laying in the fetal position, holding herself, shaking, most of her clothes are torn, they barely cover anything.
She hates it.
It hurts every time, it doesn't stop till she's shifted either way. Even then it lingers.
As her heartbeat slows and she's able to calm the pain, she slowly sits up, baby blue eyes looking up at Gobblez.
"H-How did you know that would work? I-I've never found anything that could stop it mid shift..."
She could use a glass of water, and to sleep through a week at least, yes hibernation sounds so good right now.
Cracks her neck, standing up.
"Thank you...."
Gobblez tears up, so thankful she could help in some way and rushes to grab her a drink of water with these weird glass tankards. The tap confused her at first as well but figured it out soon enough and brought back some water for Cho
"You're not the first werewolf I've met, in my home world they're usually dealt with with silver weapons.. but my father was a bard and taught me the Song of Moonlight when I was very young. I couldn't remember it of course, but it seems the intention behind the song is all that's needed for bard magic"
She did her best to keep her eyes on Chos face, her ripped clothes were very distracting but she wanted to do her best to respect Chos privacy considering the situation. She looked around and found some clothes in the dresser nearby and handed them to Cho
"I um.. I must say I've never seen a werewolf change form I didn't realize this happens. Is there anything I can do to help?"
She turned away giving Cho a bit more privacy to change her clothes, trying not to let her blushing ears show
The blushing ears are cute and it makes Cho chuckle.
She pulls the clothes on quickly, tapping Gobblez shoulder to let her know it's safe to look again.
"Its painful each time I shift, sometimes I think I might pass out from the pain, but I never do."
Takes a sip of the water, sighing as she sits down at the table.
"I think maybe mines messed up or something, unless other lycans just don't mention about the pain of transforming.
And bard magic, that one is new on me."
Actually a lot of things had been new to her lately, guess you can teach an old dog new tricks, as long as she's willing.
Gobblez joins her to sit at the table
"Well.. it's clear to don't like shifting form, maybe it's the fact you don't like it that case the pain? Or the pain doesn't happen as much the longer you're a werewolf."
She tries not to think too much of her father, or the emptiness left behind by him. She fiddled with her hands a bit, looking down at them as she did, clearly a little uncomfortable.
"Bard magic is one of a few different types of magic from my world, utilizing music and song to carry out spells. I'm not very good at it myself, but my dad... he used his voice and sang to his hearts content to try to lure potential shoppers to his trade wagon in every village he visited. He was a very successful wandering trader across all of Faeria. I hardly ever saw him when he was alive."
She looked up at Cho, which made her smile despite the sadness
"Despite all that though, I'm really glad you're okay Cho. And honestly I'm not sure I would taste that good if I had failed" She laughed trying to joke to lift the mood a bit
"I don't eat beautiful women that way."
She can't help but smirk at her.
Maybe she's feeling better, she's definitely feeling flirty.
"Mm I think you are right, I haven't been a werewolf for long so maybe it will taper off."
Crosses her legs, putting her hand on Gobblez hands.
"Whatever has you sad, don't let it keep you down for too long, we have to actually figure out a way to get you back to your universe.
I think maybe our best bet would be to ask around, we could also hit up the library and dk some research, see what we can find out."
Gobblez turns bright red from the implications of being eaten, becoming very visibly flustered as Cho put her hand on her own.
"Well.. I can't wait to see how you actually eat beautiful women then"
The warmth of Chos hand and the flirtiness from her easily distracted Gobblez from the sadness. Her heart pounded in her chest, dirty thoughts flooding her head quickly.
"We could definitely do some research as we travel, looking for different libraries wherever we go. But making sure you're safe from that Alpha is my top priority, I don't have to go home anytime soon." She paused thinking
"Hell maybe it's time I stopped trying.. I've never succeeded before, and now I have good reason to stay where I've ended up for once" She looked directly in Chos baby blue eyes. Gods.. She was falling for her so fast, but she would do anything for Cho at this point. And this alpha was going to die for everything he's done to her, Gobblez would make sure of that.
