     Billy gritted his teeth. :”Why does everyone ask that?” He muttered. “What was your motive? Why did you do it? What made you go on a killing spree?” Billy laughed. “It just gets old you know? Ask new questions. Like for instance why Stu?” He smirked. “Why choose him as a partner? Why not someone smart like Randy?” Billy looked at the girl. “Ask me something that no one has asked me.”

papa,

please don’t worry for me. 

i’m sorry i couldn’t send you this letter until now, but, i am alright. i am doing what i can to get home to you as quickly as possible so please take care of yourself. you know what happens when you don’t eat. i can’t give you very much information or detail on my situation here but just know that i am thinking about you and i miss you so much. 

hopefully this letter can put your mind to ease, even just a little bit. i’ve been well fed and i have a very large selection of books too read, which i am excited to tell you about when i see you! not all the company is bad here and i am managing to make the best out if this.

“During the time your mother had disappeared..there were wolf attacks and–” He stopped for a moment, turning his back to the girl as he went to grab a shirt. He threw it on and huffed. He wished Shaun was here, he was far better at rationally explaining this sort of thing. “All the disappearances either were gruesome or completely gone. Similar to..well, what happened to your father and,” Victor pauses as he turns to her, “and..might have possibly happened to your mother. We don’t know yet though.” 

his words made belle’s heart drop into her stomach. “w-wh...” she couldn’t even finish a thought. her brain was racing a million miles an hour and she didn’t know how to process all these thoughts. suddenly, she felt tears coming into her eyes. “he’s dead...” her voice came out small. “isn’t he? you think he’s dead?” belle didn’t know what to think and at this point, anything was a possibility.

  Billy rolled his eyes as he listened to her words. “Save it, kid.” He muttered. “I’ve heard it all before.” He muttered. Billy looked at her. The way she spoke her last sentence. The words left her mouth and hit his ear like a tone of bricks. His heart began to race. It was like she’d triggered something inside him. “What did you just say?” He asked pulling at the restraints. 

    “Are you trying to fuck with me? Are you doing this on purpose?” He tried to sit up. “Coming in here, looking like her. Saying things she’s said to me!” He looked away from her. “It’s not funny.” 

belle jumped when he pulled on the restraints. but she gathered herself fairly quickly and listened in to what he had to say. but she didn’t understand. that was until he mentioned her again. it was about sidney again. he was so fixated on this one woman and belle couldn’t understand why. “why do you blame her for what happened?” it was clear to her. that was the issue. it had to be. “i never read her book. or gale weathers book. my parents never let me. so help me understand.”

     Billy nods. “Fair enough.” He mumbles. When she gets up to go he sighs softly. Then he watches her sit back down. “You think you can help me?” He asks. “I’m never getting out of her. I’m going to waste away, I’m slowing losing what little mind I have left. There is no life for me in the outside world. I am stuck her. How can you help me?” 

belle let out a soft laugh, shaking her head a bit. “i think i can try.” she then shrugged her shoulders, her smile fading. “people just have to be willing to let me try. i mean, this isn’t a movie. it’s life. and life is worth trying for.” she clicked her pen and began to scribble more notes inside his file. “i think you’ve just seen one too many movies.”

     Victor sighed, slightly rolling his eyes. A small laugh left his lips. “Nah. I get it just—figured you would call before you came over.” The hunter set down the crossbow, looking up towards her. “So…I know your mom isn’t involved in your life.” With some research that they did. “Can you tell me, what happened to her?” 

she was about to apologize again, she truly didn’t want to impose but then he spoke of her mother. she hadn’t expected him to ask about her, or even know about her for that matter. belle cleared her throat, “papa told me she was just, gone one day. vanished. but, i think she died and he just couldn’t bring himself to tell me.” her eyes glanced away for a moment before meeting his gaze once more. “why?”

      His siblings were out doing more research on the girl Belle’s case. Suddenly, their motel door flies open while Victor was cleaning their weapons for the hunt. Raising one eyebrow, he places a cross bow against his shoulder. “You born in a bar?” Victor say.

she didn’t mean to storm in unannounced but she couldn’t wait. the girl was a wreck. she hadn’t slept in days and the idea that there was information that she didn’t know wasn’t helping the matter. “i’m sorry, i didn’t mean to barge in.” she stated, closing the door behind her. “you said there was more that you weren’t telling me...”

     “Hmm, maybe you were adopted.” He chuckles. “You’re a young one.” He mutters. “Why are you working as a nurses assistant at a prison? In a psych ward no less?” Billy asks. “I mean, you’re pretty enough, you could get far in life. Working here, it’s either gonna get you killed or you’re gonna end up getting committed just like the rest of us.” He lets out a long breath. 

    “No.” He mutters. “Don’t go. Stay. I don’t get company often.”

“my parents would have told me if i was adopted. it’s very highly unlikely.” once more she jotted a few more notes down. belle was ready to get up and find a nurse but when she made the move, he asked her to stay. so, she sat back down in her seat with a sigh, “alright.” the file in her lap closed and she clocked her pen shut. “my job is to help people. people in prison are so far off track, they would need the most help in my opinion. but we aren’t here to talk about me.”

    Billy rolled his eyes. “Sorry…” He said sarcastically. “Didn’t mean to offend your innocent mind.” He looked at her. 

    “You really do look like her. Then again, I am still doped up.” He laughed. When she asks him why he attacked the guy, he shrugs. “Because he said that Mickey was a better Ghost Face than me…” He says in an angry tone. “Mickey Altieri was a cheap copy cat!” Billy spat as he pulled at his restraints. 

      “You don’t fuck with the original!” He said. 

belle looked down at his file once more, taking some notes down. “the more you pull on those restraints, the more they will tighten so i would suggest you stop before it begins to hurt.” she commented back after his outburst. this wasn’t the first time she was told she looked like sidney prescott. she had just become numb to the comments. “i can assure you that neither of my parents have the name sidney prescott. if you would feel more comfortable with a different nurse, i can go and get one for you.”

berlioz smiled, quite impressed the fact that she knew who berlioz was. not that he didn’t expect it, but most people just looked at him in a confused manner when he states his name. “thank you. wow. you know your stuff.” he laughed. “you into music too or something?”

“oh no.” the girl let out a light laugh, tucking a piece of loose hair behind her ear. “i couldn’t play an interment to save my life. i just read a lot.” more than the average person these days it seemed. “everything is all movies though so, i guess books are becoming a bit dated.”

     Billy chuckled. “I could.” He nodded. “Before I was here. Lock up. They could have given me the death penalty. They could have, but my lawyer made me plead that I was nuts.” The psycho tells her.

    “Do you think I’m crazy?” He smirked leaning back into his pillow. “No, no, see it didn’t count for me.” He tells her. “I was killer, the man behind the mask. Giving it up didn’t count for me.” He muttered. “She wasn’t smart that night. Didn’t even ask me to wrap it up.” Billy laughed.

    “She didn’t even mention in her book that I was her first. She hardly mentioned me at all, which is bullshit, because I made her who she is. I am the reason she’s so famous. She never even thanked me. Or sent me a copy. It was Jill Roberts. She brought it to me.” He muttered.

    “Poor girl.” He sighed.

the girl looked down at his file as he spoke. trying her best to listen but ignore the crude comments. she had worked here for little over a week and she was use to it by now. “let’s try and keep those kind of remarks to yourself please. we are here now because you attacked another inmate. not because of why you were placed in this facility.” she tried to remain on the topic of the patient. not the things he had done. the idea that he was the murderer her parents told her stories about didn’t make her feel at ease. she didn’t want to hear him speak about the things he had done to all those people. belle let out a silent breath, looking back up towards him. “now, why did you attack him? did he threaten you?”

     you’re not lost. it’s what he would have liked to say, had she known the details. but how could she? she stumbled in here not out of her own accord but because death caught her first. there were several others, lingering about as grim had started befriending them all during retribution but even still, he managed to get a new person almost every day. “lost? was there somewhere you were looking for specifically?”

“y-yes, i was just going home but...” the last thing she remembered was being in the woods. walking back into town. she had seen it at  a distance and then everything went black. the next thing she remembered was walking through the door. no recollection of how she had gotten there. “conques. that’s my village. if you could be so kind and point me in the right direction, i would be very grateful.”

    Billy was very out of it. He couldn’t see straight. There was a humming noise in his head. When the girl spoke Sid’s full name, he’ll look up at her and smile. “You look like here. So pretty. She was pretty. She still is. She’s still alive…and KICKNG!” He pulled at the restraints. “That bitch is the Angel of Death.” He muttered.

   He closed his eyes and took a breathing, counting backwards in his head. “She should have died, she gave it up, she wasn’t supposed to live.” He muttered. “Belle. That’s a nice name. Means beautiful right?”

belle shifted in her seat as he spoke. this was the job, and it was days like today that she questioned why she worked here. out of all places. but, she sat and thought for a moment before responding. “do you believe that you can control who lives and dies?” her tone was even and smooth as she spoke. “why does she have to die?” truly, belle was curious. how someone could possibly think that they could just take the role of god. deciding who lives and who dies. after his comment on her features and her name, she chose it was best to ignore him and the issue at hand. “if she deserve to die by giving it up, the same thing would go for you wouldn’t it? yet you are spared from your own rules. why is that exactly?”

   Billy kicked and screamed. The orderlies carried him to his room and strapped him to his bed. He’d lashed out on another patient. “He was askin’ for it!” Billy yelled. He kicked at the orderly who jabbed him in the arm with a sedative. “I…will…kill you!” He mumbled at his vision when blurry.

  He had been out for a good couple of hours. He opened his eyes, his vision still blurred as he looked around his room. There was a someone in his room. He pulled at the restraints. “Mmmh.” He hummed trying to get a good look at the girl .She was in scrubs. “My shoulder is killing me.” He tells her. It often hurt him. A result of being stabbed with that umbrella.

   “Pain meds…” He said opening his eyes. He got sight of the girl. “Sid?” He asked. He must of still been out of it. “Sid???” He said again. She looked just like her.

     “What are you doing here?” He mumbled. “You here to kill me?”  He laughed.

belle had been called down from the medical center to attend to a patient. she had been working at the prison for a little over a week and she was still trying to get the hang of how the building worked. the psych ward itself was massive. but when she arrived to the patients room and saw he was asleep, she went over to grab his file. that was when she saw his name on the front. billy loomis. 

she heard many stories about billy loomis. she lived only a few towns over from where it happened and her parents eventually told her the story of how he murdered a bunch of people when they were in high school. it wasn’t until he spoke that she closed his file, looking up. 

“i’ll let the doctor know but, i can’t give you and meds until we’ve had a talk first.” she sat in her chair beside his bed, a confused look crossed her face. “no, my name is belle. i’m not sidney prescott.”

  “Can I help you?” He gave the girl a cold stare from across the lunch table. “I’m not in the fucking mood to give a show today.” But when was Connor actually ever? Getting a rise out of him seemed like routine and if he was pushed hard enough, he couldn’t help it. “ – I just want to eat.”
