Bolt lifted off the ground a bit as his wings fluttered. He was shocked by the sparrow man’s offer. “Me? Really? You want me to come with you?” He asked. He couldn’t wrap his head around it. He almost swooned. He gained a bit of control and cleared his throat.
Of course the blonde sparrow man would have to check with Fairy Gary that it was okay, but why not? “Sure, I could use an extra pair of hands, and wings for this one.”

Terence looked up at the new flower crown that sat on his head. A smile came to his face. “Thanks Clarissa.”
Clarissa gave a small smile, a rare sight considering her face was usually either twisted in a light scowl or bored expression, and fluttered down next to the Dust-Keeping sparrow man.
“All those came from Lilac’s laundry,” she said, and then added with a chuckle, “Can you believe it?”
She dusted some of the golden Pixie Dust that clung to Terrence from his shoulder.
“So how are you doing?”
The Laundry-Talent was being uncharacteristically sweet.
A small nervous smile replaced his genuinely happy one, hearing that the flowers came from Lilac’s laundry. “I’m...doing okay,” he answered, unsure of why Clarissa was being so uncharacteristically nice. “What about you, Clarissa?”

She nodded. It was exactly what she wanted to hear. Actually, Nyx was surprised the boy hadn’t snapped at her already, asking why on earth she was being such a pain in his ass. She knew she wasn’t easy to handle, and his politeness amused her and made her curious at the same time. Either he was a very patient and good kid or he’d seen something in her that had caught his attention as well.
It all added points to her satisfaction for choosing to tutor a freshman that was not bad at all. Her tutoring was known for being different from the institutional one, and quite unsolicited, too.
She smirked, reaching out to his pudding and taking a small spoon of it. “Thanks, but you can finish it. Oh and, just so you know, Chuck is terrified of spiders and Clarisse threw up on her boyfriend’s shoes last year at the prom. It was a big deal for a month or two. It seems they’re not that great themselves, after all, uh?” She gave Terence a subtle glance as she closed her lips around the spoon.
“And yet they still manage to rule the school,” he chimed, though a smile came to his features upon hearing some of their flaws.
Taking a sip from his can of Orange Crush, he looked at Nyx. “So, why’d you sit at my table?” Surely there was a more interesting table for her to sit at.

Terence grimaced, hissing as the alcohol cleaned out the deep cut on his hand. He’d been cutting an apple in order to share it, but was stupidly cutting the piece of fruit in his hand. “Damn it!”
“Oh, don’t be such a baby!” She scolded, struggling to hide a smile. “We’re almost done, it will be over soon. Maybe next time you’ll pay more attention, won’t you, Golden Curls?”
She tried to be as delicate as possible, even though taking care of wounds was not her best asset. Usually she was the one taken care of in the infirmary of the school, after she got into any sort of fights with the bullies.
“Don’t you dare smile about this,” he growled through clenched teeth. It felt like she was butchering his hand worse than the cut. “Careful!”

Terence sighed, slipping his hand into Zarina’s. It was all he could do to comfort her. “Are you okay?”

Terence flinched, hissing at the sting from the wound. “Not as easy a task as one might think,” he chimed.
A Princess Will Always Recognise Her Dragon
Muse A is a Royal Child, Muse B is a Lonely Dragon. Age 3-4, Muse A is out with their parents, a trip from their Winter Palace to their Summer one and there’s a storm, Muse A gets scared and wanders off ending up in the cave where Muse B is resting for that night, flying home from a trip overseas to escape a lynch mob. Muse B is lonely (and not that hungry) so they end up taking Muse A with them. So Muse A grows up in an abandoned broken castle, forgetting they’re royalty, a fact that Muse B was never aware of.
When Muse A is 21, knights storm the castle & ‘rescue’ them, taking them ‘home’ and back to their parents. Muse A doesn’t want to go ‘home’ they want to stay with Muse B. They hates the clothes, hates the people, hates the shoes, hates the entire experience, and tries to run away constantly but keeps getting dragged back.
Muse A has never gotten over their fear of storms and whenever there was one, they’d curl against Muse B’s side & they’d drop their wing over Muse A so they couldn’t see it and they’d feel safer. A storm happens after Muse A has been in the castle for 2 months and they’re absolutely terrified and curls in their bed, crying and wishing for their dragon.
A week later in Court, a new knight appears. Rather than swearing fealty to the kingdom or to Muse A’s parents, this knight swears to Muse A. And then they look up. Muse A knows those eyes, knows them well. That’s their dragon, Muse B is human. They made Muse B human, since both of them needed and wished for proximity, the universe did what it had to to make it happen. And Muse A so happy to see Muse B (and they’re really rather beautiful in human form)
