Bolt stared at Tink. He was sure she meant well, but she only scared him more. “Great. Well, I’ll just think on that then.” He squeaked. “So, um. What’s the whole point of this adventure?”

     “There’s a legend about the moss from this cave. It’s said to have curative properties. So we’re going there and getting some,” she answered confidently, as if it were that simple. Set your sights on what you want and grab it!

Bolt shuddered. “I, uh, suppose you are right.” He finally choked out. He was sure the entire room must be heating up, he was so hot with embarrassment. “I guess his crown does rather, um, suit him.”

     “You should go talk to him.” She nudged Bolt with her elbow, trying to prod him forward toward the sparkling prince. If there was any potential for a connection, she wanted to be the first to encourage it to grow--like water for a sapling or breath to a flame.

“Of course! Why would I lie to you?” Bolt replied. In truth, it had crossed his mind to have her pick the ugliest dress out there, but he just couldn’t bring himself to be that mean. He thought that he could actually like Tinker Bell if things had been different.

He perked up at the question. “Yup! Just ten minutes after the Ball starts. Early enough for us not to miss out on the food or too much of the festivities for Fawn and the others, but late enough to still fit Rosetta’s “fashionably late” standard.” He rattled off. “Terence will be meeting us by the gates whereas the others will all be in the main lobby.”

     “Great.” She sighed, her nerves somewhat relieved to hear that they’d be meeting Terence before they joined up with the girls. She’d need the steady arm of her best friend to lean on for support when she saw Silvermist in full ball attire; the water fairy was already beautiful enough in day clothes, let alone all done up.

     “Then I’m ready when you are. Even if my heart is beating like a fast-flyer’s wings,” Tink said, trying a joke to lighten the mood. She didn’t know Bolt quite well enough to tell whether he was as jittery as her in the moment, but surely a shake in routine was relatable as anything.

Pixie Dust Delivery | Bolt and Terence | V; Wingless Wonder | Closed Rp

As usual on busy delivery days, Terence was concentrating on getting his friend, Freckles, ready for the long trip. With his own lack of wings, it had been his friend Fawn who’d arranged for the owl, and later a Red Squirrel, to become two of the blonde sparrowman’s main modes of transportation. 

Tightening the harness ever so slightly so nothing would slip on the journey, he smoothed out a couple of the speckled feathers. “Almost ready, Freckles. We’re just waiting on the last of the delivery.”

It was then he heard movement behind him. Turning around, he saw a fairy coming towards him. He couldn’t tell which of the dust keepers it was, due to the large amount of pixie dust pouches they were carrying covering their face.

With his hands already reaching forward to help, he cleared his throat, “Need any help with that?” he asked, hoping none of the pouches would fall and spill their precious contents.

Brielle flew to the dust mill for her daily ration of fairy dust. She was usually one to wake up early but today she had overslept. Coming up to the door of the mill the small fairy halted for a second before sheepishly knocking on the door. She hoped that the dust keepers would still be at the mill giving out rations. Or that Terence wouldn't lecture her yet again on forgetting to collect her ration of pixie dust. Something that had occurred more than she wanted to admit.

"Hello?"

Vidia shook her head, waving Bolt’s question aside. Therewas no point in getting all of Pixie Hollow in a fit. The symptoms had startedearly that morning, a faint feeling accompanied with the occasional dimming ofthe natural glow that surrounded her. A quick visit to the infirmary had confirmedher worst fears: her light was going out.

It was funny, really; all her life, the fast flyer had beenutterly terrified of this exact moment, fearful of the fact that in a sense,her death was out of her control.

Still, there was no point getting others into a fus over it.

"I’m fine, Bolt, dear."

dustybolt Gruff slowly stood, shaky on his legs. How did anyone walk on two legs? He practically clung to the trunk of the tree until he was felt steady enough to let go. He took a few unbalanced steps forward before wavering and promptly falling on his face. He let out a low growl-like groan as he pushed himself back into a sitting position. "This is absolutely hopeless."
