CHAPTER 6 OF MY ERASERMIC FIC IS UP YAYAYA

(the link won’t embed properly forgive me…)
writers, you can and should be proud of your fic even if you personally are not satisfied with it. because even if you think it's "not good", you can be proud of the fact that you wrote it and it's something you created. you can be proud of the fact it's not ai.
repeat after me, it's something you put your soul and dedication in — and that's something ai could never achieve.
at the end of episode 15 Robby will audibly sigh and say "wow what a shit day but it's over and I can't wait to finally kill myself in a motorcycle crash." then he walks out to the ambulance bay and his motorcycle is dismantled on the ground like an unassembled Lego set. Abbot and Whitaker are standing by with comically large screwdrivers. Robby rolls his eyes "oh you guys!" then the seinfeld outro plays to end the episode and nothing bad ever happens in the Pitt again.
whitaker’s storyline: i don’t know whether to live in santos’ apartment rent free or robby’s apartment rent free :(
everyone else’s storyline:
and in a turn of events shawn hatosy reveals himself as hucklerobby shipper wanting whitaker and robby building a crib in his apartment for the baby in the beginning of season three
I draw and write silly soft Mic because that’s the life I wish for him.
I know he’s an angry traumatized man and that’s why I’m so soft on him in my works.
Some characters I wanna whump on and some I wanna build a better life for.
after a long while, chapter five of my forced proximity erasermic fic is finally up!!
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
The lovers 🍎
“I think I’m in love with Will,” Mike says the moment he hears the line connect, and his heart is knocking so fast against his ribs that it feels like it's going to break free any moment now.
“Hello to you too, Mike,” she says.
“Nancy,” he whines, because how can she be so calm about this? He’s just realized that he might be in love with his best friend, might have been in love with his best friend for a long fucking time.
or
It takes Will moving away to college for Mike Wheeler to finally, finallyrealize some things.
All he has to do now is wait for Will to get back.

excerpt from my byler wip. i’m kinda self conscious of my writing again… esp seeing as i haven’t written in months
It’s only after Vecna and the Mindflayer are gone, and his kinda-girlfriend lost in the empty void between worlds, that Mike really has the chance to just stop and think. To let his mind wonder beyond the mission, beyond the weight of the world on their shoulders.
It’s almost silent in his room, of course there are the familiar sounds of squeaky door hinges, or heavy footsteps trailing up and down the stairs, and the dull ache of conversation that drifts up through the gaps in the floorboards, but Mike tries to ignore them. Even if it dredges up a guilty sensation in his chest — he knows he should be embracing his sister, thankful she escaped, or revelling in the fact that everyone made it out safely. Well, everyone but the one person that mattered most to him, and Mike can’t take his thoughts off her, stuck reliving the very moment she was swept away, unable to assuage the cold, damp guilt tiptoeing up his spine.
So yeah, the quiet is worse. He’d rather be stuck in the constant, deafening action of operation beanstalk than be left alone with his thoughts, at least then his hands were busy, and his mind busier. No time left for stupid thoughts or stupid feelings or the stupid deep gaping hole he feels in his chest.
—
For the first week he refuses to come out of his room. No number of pleading speeches from Nancy, or gentle coaxing from his mom can make him budge. Dustin comes over once but they both just sit together in silence, a reassuring solace in the all consuming vacuum that is Mike’s shitty life right now. A few tears are shed, but Dustin either doesn’t notice it, or is refusing to acknowledge it, if that’s for his sake, or Mike’s; he doesn’t know, nor care.
He barely eats the meals his mom leaves outside his door every night — instead just moving the food aimlessly around his plate, hoping that it looks like he’s at least tried. Maybe, he thinks, she’ll understand that he’s grieving the loss of his girlfriend, and mourning what could have been; the future they were going to share, before that chance was so cruelly ripped away from them by demogorgons and mindflayers and upside downs.
He does a lot of sleeping, and even more dejected staring beyond the walls of his room, trying to let the guilt consume him, hoping that maybe, if it does, his heart will stop feeling like it’s been ripped right out his chest.
It takes the party coming over with a copy of the goonies and copious amounts of popcorn, chips and other of Mike’s favourite candies, to get him to finally emerge from his room, oversized shirt hanging off his bony figure, greasy hair plastered to his forehead and generally looking like shit. They don’t care, or at least if they do, they don’t show it, and they all just bundle together in Mike’s front room and try to forget.
It works, for maybe an hour or so, but Mike can’t forget her, can’t forget the helpless screaming that left his throat raw for so many days after, can’t forget how they were so, so fucking close. For the rest of the run time of the movie he can’t focus, but he also finds he can’t quite bring himself to care — the all consuming guilt is a cancerous lump that sits too heavy in his throat.
Will must notice something’s up, because halfway through, he nudges Mike; a brush of an elbow against his side, so light that Mike could write it off as an accident, but when he glances over at Will, he finds that knowing gaze already trained on him.
my 2025 ao3 wrapped except this is a year long process, as every month I undertake the arduous task of going through my history and keeping tabs of what ive read, before compiling this monstrosity at the end of the year!

Chapter 5 extract of resigned
Ik im a very slow writer, but i want to assure y’all that the next chapter will not take 7 months to get out…maybe /jk
but anyway here is an extract from the start is ch5 bc i feel a slump coming on and this is my way of combatting it.
“Look,” Nemuri exclaims, absent-mindedly gesturing with her chopsticks towards where Shota and Hizashi are sat, almost too close for comfort, on the couch in front of her, and subsequently managing to fling a stray noodle towards Shota’s face. In the end, he only manages to avoid a lukewarm noodle facial by scooting closer to Hizashi, who stiffens slightly at the sudden contact. It shouldn’t bruise Shota’s ego as it does that Hizashi is so surprised by the sudden, unprovoked, contact of both their bodies pressed together, from shoulder to knee, like it’s a completely new feeling, not sometime Shota craves almost every second of his waking moments.
Yet Nemuri continues on, blissfully unaware of Shota’s mind and heart, both moving far too quickly for what the situation desired, “you guys can’t just sit around feeling sorry for yourselves. I get that it's hard, considering you can only move what? Thirty centimeters from each other, but it’s no excuse to sit around moping all day.” She finishes, plunging her chopsticks back into the takeout container with determination.
When neither Shota or Hizashi responds, she sighs, looking up at Hizashi, very pointedly this time, “I know this is normal behaviour for Shota, but come on Hizashi, what happened?”
And, really, it's an apt question. Hizashi is never usually so quiet or dejected, even after spending considerable amounts of time in Shota’s presence. As much as he loathes to admit it, Shota misses Hizashi and his warmth, the constant background noise of his jabbering. If Shota were any braver he might be able to admit to himself that he’s scared. Scared that his grumpy demeanor is rubbing off on Hizashi, scared that this stupid fucking quirk and it’s effects are never going to wear off, and that he and Hizashi will be stuck together indefinitely, or worse, come to the inevitable fate they will have to suffer if they can’t break free of their stupid imaginary bond.
“I don’t know, I guess I just miss the routine of before.” It’s not like Shota is completely oblivious to Hizashi’s chaotic lifestyle. The man has always been running around in a haste to finish his seemingly endless list of responsibilities and obligations, but even Hizashi needs a break at some point, right? He can’t live such a full-on lifestyle and not get burned out at some point. Shota sure does, though I
It’s not like he hasn’t missed seeing his class, as much trouble as they do get themselves into, he won't lie to himself — seeing their young, eager, faces makes him feel a bit better about himself, like he is making a difference. And Shota is finding himself more often becoming increasing more restless as his dormancy continues, hand jerking, or leg twitching, like they are desperate to let go of the pent-up energy inside them, like they needs to find some method of letting it spill out before Shota implodes.
“Me too,” Shota says, and it spills out involuntarily like maybe all his pent up energy is spilling out from his mouth instead.
