Look at that strand of leaves that lack chlorophyll! This is a variegated Dischidia ruscifolia (Million Hearts). It’s bursting out from its small pot!

I saw these cool bushes on my way to a doctor’s appointment! The way their leaves are arranged reminds me of Crassulas and in general I like how geometric they are. Would anyone happen to know what they are?

I also saw these cool Gunneras as well! The leaves of this genus can get to around a meter across. I also looked up more about them and apparently they’re distant enough from most things that they have an entire Order to themselves and one other family.

According to the signs in the area this garden area nearby is a bioremediation and pollutant-removing project? So that’s pretty neat and I wish these were more common! Especially in lower income areas as well so they’re not just being used in gentrification.
